Forgiveness

Damai is seen running with the house seemly far away. "Shit...where the hell is Pudd!?" Damai thinks to himself. Damai runs past an ally and see a "wanted poster". He stops to check the posters and rips them apart. "Bastards! To think I thought my life could change. We're idiots!". Damai looks at his dress. "WHY AM I STILL WEARING THIS DRESS!?" he shouts and has a bit of a hissy fit. Damai looks at the street and see a truck with a Mask Girl and Helmet Girl hanging from the back of it. "Seems like Neiya found out something. She never minds her business. Getting kinda annoying." Damai says as he makes a disdain look on his face. "Guess I'll take the roof tops. It's faster than running anyways" Damai as he climbs the later and begin to jump from rooftop to rooftop.".

"You two traffic is on the way. I suggest jumping off the trunk. Cynthia can you make the jump?" Tatsu says.  Both Cynthia and Neiya perfectly land the jump onto the sidewalk. "Wow sis didn't know you as this good" Neiya remarks. Cynthia replies saying "It was just a jump. Besides Tsuki taught me.". Neiya laughs "Old flame helping you find new flame. ".  Neiya grabs Cynthia and places on her back. "Hang on tight" Neiya  tells her. "You know Pudd once took me roof jumping." Cynthia says. Neiya surprised turns her neck and says "Really? Never thought of that idiot could make a date".

Cynthia laughs "He isn't. I sorta forced him." Neiya turns her neck around and jumps on top of a short building. "Wow you jump high!" Cynthia says. "So explain to me the dates you had with Pudd" Neiya says.  "We only had three. The first one was the day he was accepted to the football team. It was just a movie. Put it's the first time he showed his fun side with me. We pranked the popcorn guy. It was worth getting banned from there. The popcorn guy was covered in soda." Cynthia explains. Neiya closes her eyes and smiles. "You're so naive. You'll do what anyone tells you to." Neiya says. Neiya keeps jumping from roof to roof. "What about the other two?" Neiya ask. "I already explained the second one. But the one before the party. I forced him to take me out. He didn't know what to do so he asked have I been roof hoping. They were smaller distance but it was fun. But the best part was the end." Cynthia tells. Neiya curious ask what it was. Cynthia replies "He tried to kiss me but he could't do it. He just ran like normal". Neiya face turns comically annoyed. "Hey don't get mad. We only kissed twice and that's because of me. He never tried anything" Cynthia replies. Tatsu is seen with his head on the keyboard. "Father was right. Gossip kills people".

Damai jumps off the last roof in between him and the house and looks around. "Boy this place does brings back memories.".  Damai looks at the front step and see Pudd just laying there with cats around him. "PUDD!" Damai as he runs towards him. "Move away you stupid cats". Damai shakes Pudd trying to wake him up.  "I'm awake....." Pudd mutters. "Dude you reek of cats." Damai says. "Mom's house. I knew you would come here." Damai tells Pudd. "I can't bring myself to do it Damai. Ms. Maoyu will never forgive me for what I done." Pudd cries. Damai comfort Pudd. "Hey it's no big deal. I'm sure mom forgives you.  I forgave you and brought you here with me.". Pudd gets up and wipes his tears "But you understand." Pudd tells him. Damai puts his arm on Pudd shoulder. "I'm sure she will too.". Damai "Here I'll go with you".  Pudd push Damai back and say "No I need to do this alone. If I'm going be the best in the world..I gotta learn how to do things on my own and show my feelings.". Pudd walks into the house.

Neiya and Cynthia arrives to the scene. "Wow this is an ugly house" Neiya said.  Cynthia shouts Damai's name and he turns around. "I knew you'll follow me.".  Neiya ask what is this place in relation to him. "It's just my mom house. Nothing special" he say as if he doesn't care. "If I recall I told you to forget about me forever. ". Damai says. "I could't. Something about you guys seemed strange." Neiya remarked. "I'm guessing you know everything then if you knew about this house." Damai says. Neiya replies "Everything but why you leave". Cynthia ask are they planning to leave to another district. "I'll answer Cynthia's question first. No we plan to stay. Knowing Nate he just wanted Pudd and myself away from him. I wasn't bother by him knowing. I was worried for Pudd. Just to be safe though I won't be interacting with most of this district and that's for safety reasons. Pudd and myself will live in the outskirts of this town. Isolated. That way if the R.H.G does find us no one will be affected.  I don't want y'all involve in this. So after this please don't come looking for me." Damai explains. Neiya obviously shaken up by the news. "What about my question?" she ask. Damai closes his eyes. "I..if I told you then you would never forgive me. I..I don't want that". Neiya replies "I'm promise. We will still be friends. Nothing can change that". Damai sighs. "You was a nice girlfriend. Even shorter a nice friend. But if you want to know this badly I'll tell you.".  

Pudd is in the house looking for Maoyu. He sees her in the kitchen. "There she is." Pudd thinks to himself.  Pudd walks into the kitchen and stands before Maoyu. "Ms....Maoyu.." Pudd says.  Pudd has a quick flashback of her screaming for Damai to help her.  Ms. Maoyu turns around and smiles "Pudd....". Pudd confused as to why Mayou is smiling. "Why...why are you smiling!?" Pudd say. Maoyu replies "Why would't I be smile? I haven't seen you or my son in 8 months"  "But...that...day...." Pudd says. A flashback occurs.

Its a raining day at the original district 1. About close to a year before the present day. A man in the shadows stand before multiple grunts. "Everyone stand aside for my son. Project P. The future of R.H.G. I got a special  task for you. Come here boy." the man said. Project P walks up to his dad with a proud look. "Father I'm honored you choice me for this task." P says proudly.  The man smiles. "Son. I want you to kill the Agma family. They don't support our views. I should had expected it from a family married into the R.H.G. The one who married them into the game isn't even alive anyone." . Pudd shakes his head no. "Dad I can't and won't kill anyone. Especially my best friend!". The man shouts at his son "Son.  Your best friend not only go against your views but is becoming to great of a fighter. His skills is on par with yours. Kill him. Don't you want to be the Best In the World!?". Project P responds "What does Project P even man?". The man raises his voice higher "It means your brothers Project A-O are failures. However with your mom talents mixed in with my greatness. 15 years in the making you're the perfect one.". The man then tells Project P to not only kill the Agma family but the new prisoners that arrived the day prior if not he'll kill him. Project P gulps and looks to the prisoners. "Please forgive me.". Before jumping into the cage that Neiya's father, brother, and mother are in he ask his father..."Why is Damai..called Project D. Is he your son?". The man walks away. "No. IT was his dad's idea.". Pudd jumps into the cage and sees the 3 family members beaten.

Pudd: I'm so sorry.
Neiya's Dad: I can tell you don't want this.
Neiya's Mom: Just get it over with.
Pudd: I....I'll just shoot you with poison needles. Long but pain-less. So y'all can hang out before dying.
Neiya's mom: Thank you. Shame you stuck with this.

Pudd quickly shoots all three members and leaves the cage. The grunts are cheering him on. "I gotta go home. I'm going be sick." Pudd thinks running through the crowd(Who are cheering him).  Pudd runs home and notice dead bodies.  "What's this?" Pudd thinks.  He begins to run faster and past Damai's house. "Father could't have!" he screams. As he runs into the house. He see's Damai tied up along with his mother. "What happen!?" Pudd shouts. Damai screams "Your...your dad. He began killing random Grunts and....tied us up".  *Flashback ends*

Ms. Maoyu hugs Pudd. "You did what you have to do.  You saved my son and myself. I always forgave you. I'm glad you came and found me.". Pudd hugs Maoyu back. "I...I saved you?". Maoyu responds "You don't remember? I won't talk about it.". Pudd tells Maoyu he so sorry. Pudd gets a smile and tells her that her son is outside. Maoyu tells Pudd to take her with him.  The two are walking out of the house at the sight of Neiya runs towards Damai. "You killed my family. You bastard!". Damai stops Neiya's punch and throws her on the ground. "I told you.". Cynthia points at Maoyu and Pudd. "Pudd" she screams as she runs and hug him. Maoyu laughs. "Pudd I didn't know you dated.". Cynthia cries on Pudd's chest. "I was worried for you. You didn't call...come to party...we could't find you...". Pudd replies "Why you have a helmet on?. ". Damai turns around to see his mom and runs and hugs her. "Mom...". Maoyu embraces her son. "It's so nice to see you son. But why you have a dress on?"

Neiya tells Tatsu to call the police from the ear piece. Tatsu ask is she sure. Neiya told him yes. Damai lets go of his mom  and turns around. "What the hell are you doing!". Neiya screams in a fit of rage. "YOU THINK I'M GOING TO LET YOU  ROAM FREE? I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW YOUR MOM CAN EVEN HUG YOU! AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO HER AND MY FAMILY!". Maoyu is about to ask what's she talking about when Damai whispers that he changed the story and replaced him with Pudd. Neiya goes berserk screaming "YOU TWO ARE GOING TO ROT IN PRISON! AND THEN HELL!". "Neiya, please. Leave Pudd out of this. I did this not him.  Arrest me." Damai says as he puts his arms out. Maoyu puts her arm out too. "Take my son away. Take me away." Maoyu says. Neiya replies "You're as sick as your son. Maybe I was better off not knowing.".  Pudd puts Cynthia to the side. "Neiya ......"...Pudd is cut off by Damai. "PUDD! SHUT UP!".  The police arrives and ask what's the issue. Damai looks at Neiya. Neiya looks down and cries "I...I liked you." she mutters to herself as she points at Damai. "The woman too." Neiya says.  The police then takes Maoyu and Damai away for life. As they're walking to the car Damai tells Neiya "Thank you. For everything. This past month been great". which causes Neiya cover her face. Cynthia to much in shock to say anything. Pudd runs over to the police car. "Bro....! Why!?". Damai smiles. The policemen pulls Pudd off the car. "Listen. He's a gang members. We don't get a-lot of them. He can tell us more info on the other gang members. Besides both this woman and your "bro" names are similar to Demon. What you expect from them. A life of good? Ha! No thank you. One is so twisted he's wearing a dress.".  Pudd drops to the ground and begins to punch the ground. "Why is luck always against me!" Pudd shouts.

The police leaves. Neiya walks over to Pudd. Pudd gets up and turns around. "Don't say anything." Pudd says. Neiya smacks Pudd of course the face. "I'm telling everyone. You bastard.  But since you're not as bad. I'll let you live in the outskirts. I promise you won't be arrested but I doubt anyone will talk to you" Neiya explains. Pudd thinks about telling Neiya the truth but thinks to himself. "There has to be more purpose than saving me right...". Pudd tells Neiya..."Keep protecting this area. The Alonell is a great weapon. Please *points to woods* practice. Maybe one day you'll kill me.". Neiya smiles "That would be a day I look forward too.". Cynthia is seen on the step sitting.  Pudd walks over towards her. "Neiya can you leave us alone. I'll walk her home and then you'll never seen me again.". "Seems fair enough. You was a good rebound for her over her last flame.". Neiya jerkly says. Pudd laughs "Damai told about rebounds. He called you a great one.".  "Very funny". Neiya replies as she walks away.  Pudd walks over towards Cynthia and gently help her stand up. "C'mon. You're going ruin the outfit."

Pudd: Before I say this but can you take the helmet off?
Cynthia: Oh right.
Cynthia: Is this really the last time I'll see you?
Pudd: Yea sadly. Hey you're not crying.
Cynthia: Not like it'll change anything.
Pudd: Don't bottle up your emotions. *Hugs* Let it out!
Cynthia: It's..just not fair. My first love left and later found dead. Now you're leaving forever too!
Pudd: I'm sorry. Growing up there I was more focused on being the best than..emotions. I'm not really good at showing love or saying sorry. But watching Damai with Neiya I guess I say something like this.  I had a real fun time on those dates you forced me to go too.
Cynthia: I want to go home now.
Pudd: Sure. But no roof-hopping. I want to take the long way. You're the last person I might talk too. I want it to last. Sorry if your house is 3 cities away.
Cynthia: It's ok.

Pudd and Cynthia walk to Cynthia's house and with each city was a different conversation. Pudd looks at Cynthia and ask her who made her the helmet and the outfit. "The helmet is from a few years ago. It was a costume party". Pudd laughs "It looks silly on you". Cynthia laughs along. "The outfit is something I sewed myself. My....my last guy thought it will help with my acrobatics. So I where this to travel with Neiya, perform, practice my dancing, and don't tell anyone but  when the geeks and I roleplay zombies.". Cynthia explains laughing. "You look great in it." Pudd says. Cynthia replies "You think I'm cute? I didn't know". Pudd tries to deny it but Cynthia teases him. "We're in the second city. One more city to go.". Pudd says.  Cynthia looks at Pudd hands.  "Are we holding hands?" Cynthia ask.  "Yea why? I thought couples do this type of stuff.". Cynthia blushes . "Is just it's the first time you held my hand. It's also the first time you called us a couple.". Pudd replies. "Well it makes you happy which is what I like. I not fond of sad-ness.". Cynthia thinks "Here I thought he really meant those words" with a comedic fake angry face. "I'm glad for Neiya that she most likely will beat Paige.". Pudd tells her. Cynthia ask Pudd will he ever be happy after today. Pudd replies "When I become the Best In The World. I have to start from square one since I missed the Football game today".  Cynthia looks at the Cities changes.  "One more city" Cynthia said with a bit of sad-ness.  Tatsu calls in. "Cynthia, Neiya destroyed her earpiece and kicked me out the house. Can you still here me?". Cynthia ignores the call and throws her earpiece is the garbage. Pudd sees Cynthia shoot. "Impressive shot." he said. "Cynthia do you..." Cynthia cuts him off. "I don't want you to talk.". Pudd zips his mouth as they walk to her house.  "We're here" Pudd said. Cynthia immediately hugs Pudd who hugs who back.   Pudd pulls her off of him. "Let go now.". Cynthia tells him thank you. "Wait. Right here. I'll be back in 5 minutes. ". Pudd runs to the store and hurries back. "Here. It's to remember me by. Hope you like it. I'm not used to this" Pudd giving Cynthia a gift while scratching his head. "A training kit for dancing and a small box?". Cynthia confused tells Pudd she likes it. Pudd tells her to open to box. Cynthia opens the box and it's a small unicorn stuff animal. "I remember you saying you like Unicorns when we went to see the Unicorn Island movie. ".  Pudd explains. "This is wonderful. I always wanted one. Thanks Pudd!". Pudd not knowing how to say goodbye leads into an awkward stare. "Cynthia it was fun. Being your boyfriend that is. I don't know what else to say.". Pudd suddenly finds himself starring at Cynthia once again.  He leans towards her and kisses her which shocks Cynthia who slowly closes her eyes. After the kiss Pudd walks away and puts his hand in the air. "See ya Cynthia.".  Seeing Pudd walk further and further away. Cynthia waves her hand in the air and shout "BYE" to Pudd. As she thinks to herself "I feel more happy than sad. As she shuts the door.

Authors note: WOW that was long. Got a little teary eyed at the end when writing this. Let's explain this No military but Police force. Basically no military. But the Police force can only arrest for basic crimes.  Murders can be arrested if caught. However no form of a military. The next chapter will be a time skip of 4 months which leads us into the spring season of the school year(Basically almost the end of school year). How will things differ? I'm honestly excited!  Don't worry Damai fans. This is not his final appearance. Sad we can't see PuddxCynthia. Such great chemistry. I like how I fleshed that one out. Honestly felt I rushed DamaixNeiya.
