ok recent updates
-doing pretty well mostly these past few days
-just accepted a job offer at this gorgeous cafe thats opening this week!! im super stoked about that. its only a 20min bike ride from me and its like the most qfeast user Kodak place ive ever seen
-the weather in my city is finally nicer which is awesome. been spending all the time i can in the cemetery and laying in the sun
-music is finally becoming a fixture in my life again and i couldn’t be happier about See More it. for a while i burned out so bad doing anything music related was j like pulling teeth but lately ive been spending so much time just writing and noodling on my guitar and sitting on the floor with my pedals piecing together weird vocal loops. like hours a day it’s awesome.
-speaking of music i joined a country band as an acoustic guitarist and am having more fun than i thought i would. we are competing in a battle of the bands later today!!

had 2 interviews last monday that went pretty well. i think i have a solid chance w the first one second one possibly but they had so many applicants so idk how good my chances are buttttt either way im happy both r cute queer friendly cafes whose owners seem wonderful
it’s been so insane to watch as an outsider it seemed like it could’ve been a misunderstanding and had they j apologized for the incident immediately could’ve been ok (the girl who experienced the discrimination gave them the benefit of the doubt and reached out like “hey this happened i hope it was j a misunderstanding” n instead of apologizing the owner was See More like “you aren’t femme enough if you show up “male presenting” and use the women’s bathroom you’ll be thrown out again” and then refused to acknowledge it and it’s sparked protests and local news outlets are covering it they’ve also had multiple people quit because of it including the bar lead who was kinda the heart and soul of the place

j interviewed for a coffee shop in millennium park… kinda hope i get it was skeptical at first bc busy touristy location but managers seemed cool nice roomy behind bar $20/hr (pre tips) after training completion…

im so funny lost my last job bc “oh we need someone who can ACTUALLY bartend” so i proceeded to get a job at a more prestigious bar 5 and a half days after the fact and my boss there (same boss as previous job before the first bartending job) is actually nice
