An Assortment of Poems

Well, I suppose that my most unusual ramblings pour out into my writing. Poems are a great break from my prose and significantly easier. I thought I'd share some just because.

An Assortment of Poems
Chapter 4.

The curtain falls in a crimson torrent
The lights burn out above
The souls are gone and the music stops
But what is left behind?
The purging out of sadness
And a feast is turned away
A forced smile and a confident façade
Slowly break to bits
A shattered mirror and dead rose petals
Sit inside the door
Blood stained satin
And black streaked kerchiefs
They're all that remain
There's only nothingness and painful tears
When the curtain falls
