An Assortment of Poems

Well, I suppose that my most unusual ramblings pour out into my writing. Poems are a great break from my prose and significantly easier. I thought I'd share some just because.

Chapter 3.
Oceanus

Oceanus

The sea, the sea, the rolling waves
How doth she turn about
"What lies beyond the horizon?"
I asked a sailor man

"'Tis a mysterious and wond'rous place,"
He said with eyes azure

The sea, the sea, the great big blue
How glassy her surface be
"What does the sea breeze say to you?"
I asked a captain brave

"It sings a song of mourning, love,"
He said with lips taut tight

The sea, the sea, the sparkling gem
How she glistens in the sun!
"How do the waves dance at your feet?"
I asked a fisherman grey

"The waves dance with their mood,"
He said with beard a'blowin'

The sea, the sea, the watery depths
How she beckons to us all
"What does the abyss look like?"
I asked a pirate grand

"No man lives to tell the tale,"
He said with a broken heart
