"Maplewhisker, can I ask Smallsong if he needs any help?" Squeaked Snowkit, who was now five moons old."You want to help Smallsong?" Mousekit said, looking like she was about ready to burst with laughter.
"Maybe it's because she wants to hide her origins. Every cat in the Clan thinks a kittypet is your mother. You only want to be medicine cat because it hides your softness!" Blackkit mewed.
"Not true!" Snowkit spat, frusterated. "I want to be a medicine cat! I want to be able to read omens from StarClan and help treat my Clanmates!"
"Blackkit! Mousekit! How many times to I have to tell you to stop teasing Snowkit?" Maplewhisker hissed. "Snowkit, you may go. As for you two," she said as she turned toward her two kits, "you will never be made apprentices if you keep that act up!"
Snowkit swiftly walked out of the nursery. 'I wish I could've been Clanborn... maybe Mousekit and Blackkit would respect me better...' Snowkit thought as she stepped into Smallsong's den."Smallsong!" She mewed.
The golden pelt tom was in the middle of sorting herbs. "Yes? Oh, Snowkit! It's great to see you! We must talk!"
"Now?" Snowkit squeaked.
"Yes now!" He said, taking her deeper into the den.
