Ami and Rose

The Sidekick

“Hello little fairies!” a loud voice made Ami and Rose freeze.
             
They swung around and they trembled with fear. And they had a right to be trembling because the person who had just spoken was a wolf! But somehow, this wolf didn’t seem so mean! He came forward and gave them a welcoming smile.

“Ah, don’t be scared girls. I ain’t no nasty wicked wolf. I’m just here, looking for friends to invite over for tea.” The wolf said.
“Oh sorry, Mr but Ami and I have to be back home at 3 o’clock, we can’t be late, our mum’s would be worried about us.” Rose immediately replied.
“Oh, I see. Well, I guess I’ll go and ask someone else.” The wolf said with a sad look on his face.

Ami pulled Rose backwards so they can have a quick conversation.

“Rose, come on! Look at his expression! He looks so sad! How about we tell them that we can’t come for tea but we would happily join him for lunch?” Ami tried persuading Rose.
“Ami, listen, we can’t just go and have lunch with a complete stranger! He might be a bad guy!” Rose replied smartly.
“I know, but if he is a bad guy, we could always fly away. We’re fairies!”  Ami tried again.
“Fine. But if something happens to us I have the right to tell our mums that it was all your idea.” Rose gave in.
“OK, sure. Let’s go and tell him!” Ami happily said.
