Which name do you like best?

I've been working on a story and it has come time to name a major character. It's a male in 19th century England. I've decided on the surname, Reve (meaning dream), but no first name. It's gotta mean something special, as the character is a little misleading. Which do you like best and why?

Gwynn (beautiful)
Cavan (handsome)
Frederick (dark)
Keene (dark)
Cary (dark)
Cronan (little dark one)
Darcy (dark)
Donald (dark stranger)

Cronan definitely. Don't do Darcy at all costs though.
