Why do people like candy?(read description before you give me answers!!)

The reason people like candy is because in the very beginning of the human race, sugars (as well as fats) were very hard to come by, so humans (homo sapiens) developed a craving for sugary and fatty things so that we took advantage of them whenever they were available. Now, we have that same urge, but sugars and fats are plentiful and lead to obesity which in turn leads to early death.
Oh, and good for you that you are vegan. My Aunt and her family is, but I could never give See More▼ up that much! We are vegetarian now though.

And maybe people like candy cause its nice and sweet and addicting! Idk! XD

Sugar. Sugar is more addictive or equally addictive to drugs. And don't judge others for liking candy.

I just think candy is nice and sweet and sometimes it has attracting shapes and colourful packets to attract people. Anyways some people eat a small candy treat for energy like I eat a Snickers bar before I go windsurfing at 10am because it gives me energy. And I doubt it is made from bugs! I agree some colourings are not healthy and are chemical but bugs? If someone told you, they were joking. If you read, it might not be true, especially if it was off the internet. I know chocolate See More▼ is quite healthy, only if there was no sugar in it then it would be very healthy. And if you do not eat too much candy and brush your teeth every day then your theeth are healthy! And just chill out with the candy thing! It would be like I said vegetables are gross because they grow in the ground. Just relax ok? And my mum says crisps are a ton worse than candy bacause they have unhealthy oils and fats and I am forebidden to eats more than one packet a week! Seriously! Candy is not bad!

I'm not sure why. Maybe because of the sweetness and flavours. I already knew about the bug thing. I went to Lanzarote and on this Natural Wonders tour the tour guide lady said about the red bugs used to make food colouring for sweets.

because of sugar. we know that candy is a quick way to get sugar. and, we all LOVE sweets. take a bite of a good ol' snickers and see why.

I don't eat candy that much

They are addictive and sweet, so most people get drawn to them. I am not as bug as a sweet fan as others since I feel sick after eating more than 6. I do like Ice-cream and most home made cakes, cookies and cupcakes! There are some helthier candies like candied nuts or candied orange peel that tast really good.

People like candy for the sugar and the sweet taste, some people eat chocolate only. I like candy alot that's normal cause I am a kid. Hope this helps:)

I love candy. I don't eat it alot, but I like sweet tarts, and Reeces cups. It can be bad for you if you eat it every single day in large amounts, but sugar actually reduces headaches and relieve stress o_O who knew?!?! I don't think they use bugs as the coloring, and if they do then hey, it's protein right? Even more of a reason to eat it (; and it's not bad for your teeth unless you don't brush twice a day for two minutes... Which I do, most of the time three minutes or more. See More▼ I personally like candy, this morning in Sunday School we had sour patch kids o_O. Which was different, but hey, it was delicious. I like candy, it's just a preference. Don't hate! Like, you may like tomatoes but I'm not going to hate just cuz I don't. Lol :P

well lots of peoplel have different taste in food personaly i love candy cause its sweet and sugary others idk but people have different tastebuds and there for different tastes hope this helps!! :)
