My mom usually says that she loves me and that she doesn't want anything to come between us, and I think that me being pan is keeping me farther away from her. And I mean, I have a Christian family, so that makes it harder for me to be who I am. But I'll try what you said. My mom supported me when I told her about my depression, See More▼ but this is different.
Hopefully she'll let me be who I want to be.

It's gotten better, though. I say just get it over with so you don't cause too much stress on yourself. Since you're pan, and not many people know what that means, I would come out as bisexual if I were you. Say, "Mom, Dad, when I was little, you'd say you'd love me no matter who I was... I discovered I'm bisexual and I want you to know that." Try to See More▼ ease into it rather than to suddenly come out to them. If they laugh or say, "No, you're not," then don't bring it up again, because that's a sign they will not be kind or accepting.

You probably do, but maybe they haven't come out yet. About a tenth of the population is gay or bisexual.
