Chapter 4: A new ally?

I turned around to see who the voice belonged to. There standing before me was a girl around my age. She had long dark hair that looked either brown or black and there was a royal purple streak clearly visible.I looked at her, her eyes were violet with tinges of red and I instantly knew she was a vampire. I started to back away, wanting nothing to do with those creatures but..then I remembered I was one."Are you in there?" The girl said with a hand on her hip.She seemed nice enough but,.I wasn't sure. The vampires I met earlier were kind enough but who knows what the others acted like? I just nodded.

"Your a vampire" I said quietly but loud enough so she could hear. "Yeah.."The girl replied looking distant.I wondered why but before I could, I heard voices in the forest.The girl looked at me and grabbed my hand before we teleported away in a purple light somehow.We arrived on the roof of a house. "Vampires aren't able to just teleport like that." I stated looking at her with wonder, awe and fear. "Could you keep a secret?" She asked avoiding my statement.I nodded.

"Good, the reason I could teleport just then is because.." She looks at me." i'm also a sorceress." She replied. And a Vampire?! I thought looking at her.She nodded and said "Yes". It was as if she could read my mind?!. "Thats because I can" The girl replied. So whats your name then? And how can you read my mind? I thought
"My names Gwen, and I can read your mind because im a sorceress although most minds are well shielded so I can't. Yours isn't" Gwen replied staring off into the distance.

I glared at her."Aria" I replied before looking at the people walking around in the street below. "Did you see what happened back there? At the house?" I asked not looking at her."Yeah..Was that, your family?" She replied and I nodded turning to face her.She looked at me with sympathy."Their long gone by now, MHA or Monster hunters association would have killed them by now, theirs no point in trying to save them.Anger suddenly took over all the other emotions."And how would you know?!" I asked with a bit of a growl.

"I know because my parents..."she trailed off looking distant.I suddenly felt guilty for growling"Sorry for getting angry at you.."I said looking at the ground again.She looked up."Sorry if I seemed like I didn't care.MHA are well known to monsters all around" She said."Other monsters?" I asked.Gwen nodded."What, You didn't think only werewolves,vampires and werepires inhabit the world." She asked kinda of teasingly."Actually I did" I replied. She laughed and I joined in, it was something to keep my mind off things.

I looked across the town."Is this your hometown" I asked. Gwen shook her head." No..when I was young, the MHA burnt down my hometown and took all the monsters away- incuding my parents-" She said.We both kinda had similiar pasts in a way.I looked at the ground when I felt someone else's presence. Gwen must of sensed it too since we both turned around.
