Another day in the woods
It was first year of high school, and you were so happy you had finally made a friend , even though she's not like you adventurous, quiet , shy , brave , down to earth and who enjoys nature than anything. She's mean but is honey sweet inside which made you friends with her. she was the one who asked to be a friend , as you're too shy. you wanted to act cool but inside you were really happy to have a friend. she can be mean to anyone but you. But she is always on her phone, busy chatting with her dates, who she says are dying to go out with her. You bragged about knowing the forest like your own home, so you both hang out in the forest, but she's not so interested but acts so to be with you. And her rival, in volleyball, Erika , follows you and your friend, Ria. too. she wants to make friends with both of you but acts like she is just happening to go in that way."How far to go? wait...what did you want to show us?" Erika complained
Ria unplugged her earphones and sighed "US..you mean me..ME ..duh.. why are you even here, girl?"
" I-its not like i wan't to but i really need to-" she was trying to find an excuse
"try to..?" Ria folded her hands
"you see... there's a 5 star hotel as we cross this forest. it's owned by my Aunt. I'ts not so good , just a swimming pool, a spa, a french theme based cafe and yeah also-"
"like we're gonna believe you.. you need to extend your creativity for finding some good reasons, pathetic stalker " Ria smirked
"what? pathetic STALKER? You dont know-"
That's when you shout "Girlss!! I'm trying my best to memorize the path to find to the tree house before it goes dark and you guys just don't shut up!"
That's when Ria stares at you with her eyes zooming at your face . "Um..sorry . i don't mean to say that. i really don't mean that. you were not that irrita-"
"wait..what do you mean by trying to memorize before it goes dark....you mean ...you can't remember the WAYYY!!!" Ria screamed
"No way!!!"
" Don't worry ..we will surely find the way" you walk backwards and notice that you were going to place your foot on a bird lying on the grass.
"A BIRD!! It's dead? no way.. it can't be..." you try to calm down
"Bird? are you freaking crazy? just lead us to the right path-" Erika whined
that's when you got really mad and said " If you found a human wounded, would you say the same?? No , right?"
"actually she would" Ria said in a low tone.
"But are you sure you can save it?" She asked
you and Ria started searching for some medicinal plants and water, and for the meanwhile tie a leaf to the wounds.
"here, i got the water" Erika arrived from some bushes , half drowned.
"where did you get it? and why are you all wet?" Ria asked
"first take care of that " she pointed at the bird
After trying you're best , the bird finally got a bit well and started to hop around, attempting to fly, and pecking the ground .
"woah finally , this little cutie can fly.. but look at it's beautiful patterns . doesn't look like it's wild. I mean it's not Amazon or anything for such a fancy bird to exist!" Ria said staring at the bird.
The bird had a elegant grey coat with golden beak and colorful dark random patterns .
"You're right , I really love the poor fellow so much already. i wonder if i can keep it!!!" you squealed
"it will be probably safe in your hands, darlin' " Erika agreed
you see a note lying on the floor , pick i up " My Bride..? what .." you mutter to yourself, with a shock.
you notice fog fading away and spot it "here! MY TREEHOUSE.LOOK! ISN'T IT GOOD?" you drop the note & run to the treehouse .
"yeah yeah we can see it. now chill....and..*huff* slow down" Erika panted
Three of you enter the treehouse and sit on the wooden floor, and you go around the house, recollecting your past, filled with sweet and bitter. about the days you used to hide from your bullies and hide here, who attacked you as you argued with them.
"Time flies so fast. it feels like yesterday, i found this thing!" you try to stop the tears.
"It looks so magical, like the fairytales!" Erika smiled
"yeah, and all we need is a prince.. lol. " you joked
"as it is gonna happen" you look into the sky
Ria stares at you for a long time silently." Hey, do you believe in soulmate stuff?" she asks you
"not really.. but who knows? Meeting your lost ones in this life, maybe.." then you notice Erika slightly sad and about to spill tears as she got heartbroken last tuesday.
You hug two of them and give a warm smile " I do believe in Soulmates, It can be you guys too, right?"
Erika smiles a little and mutters "Yeah...idiot"
Ria smiles awkwardly covering her smile and putting by putting a smirk.
You lick your tears and say "Now now let's get outta here before it's dark!"
