Becoming friends
You came back to find Shadow asleep on the couch.You took longer then you expected to,but you weren't used to buying for two people.He was sleeping soundly,with the tv still on.You go to the kitchen to put the stuff you bought.You hear a rustling sound come from the living room.You look into the living room to find Shadow getting up from the couch."I got some medicine to help with the pain and some bandages."Shadow doesn't answer you."Shadow?"you ask.Shadow turns toward you.His eyes were closed and he was mumbling to himself."Shadow!Your sleep-walking!"You yell.You walk toward Shadow and try yelling again.Shadow is two inches from your face now,and you move back.Before you could move farther away,Shadow grabs you and holds you closely to his chest.You can hear him whispering,but you feel it isn't directed to you specifically."Its okay.I will keep you safe."You blush,and know you should wake him up.But you felt comforted and couldn't seem to move away.You wrap your arms him,and hold tightly against him,before you realize what you were doing.You feel Shadow move his head up,and you snuggle closer to his chest,closing your eyes."What are you doing?"You hear him ask.You open your eyes in surprise,and look at him.He stares at you seriously,his red eyes looking deep into yours."Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!"you say quickly.He releases you from his grip."You were sleep-walking,so I..."You move backward."So I better get the medicine and bandages!Now since your awake I mean!"You run toward the kitchen quickly.Shadow sits back down of the couch,thinking about the incident."Why do I feel so...different?"
"Hold still."you say as you put medicine on the bruises.Shadow grunts in pain.You bandage his ear,and Shadow pulls back."That hurts!Could you not pull my ear off please!"You look at him frustrated."Well if you stop moving around so much!Maybe I could finish faster!"Shadow lowered his head,so you could finish."Stand up."You say.Shadow stands up and you wrap the bandage around his belly."There!It wasn't that bad was it?"Shadow looks at you and says"If you call getting your ear ripped off not bad,then yeah,I guess it wasn't".You look at the time.
You arrive home to smell something delicious coming from the kitchen.You were tired after a long day,but extremely excited.You were able to get a job as a cook,and your manager was giving you a raise for your hard work!Shadow was sitting at the table,waiting.You look around the kitchen,expecting to see a mess.But the kitchen was clean."You washed the dishes?"you ask.Shadow nods.You sit down to find a plate of spaghetti and a glass of milk.You take a bite and your eyes grew wide."This taste incredible!"You eat quickly,while Shadow watches."Thank you."
When you finish eating,Shadow was done as well."You know I'm not from around here,right?"Shadow asked."Of course."you say."Well,I'm going to be leaving in two days."You look up."That's right.You should be fine by then."You feel slightly disappointed.Shadow notices."Would you like to come with me?"You look up in surprise."You mean,where you live?"Shadow nods."Yeah.I bet you could find a job there."You think about this for moment."You don't have to decide now."Shadow says,noticing your hesitation."I'll think about it."You say.
