"Malfoy... Why are you acting so weird? What's up with you?"
Draco just shrugs, grinning as he flips through the library book. Pansy leans over his shoulder, scowling, but he ignores her.
"Seriously. What are you even looking for? And why are you skipping class?"
"You're skipping class, too."
"But that's not unusual for me. It is for you."
He shrugs again, grinning when he finds what he's looking for, his eyes drinking in the words on the page.
"Draco! Snap out of it!"
"Snap out of what?"
"Whatever... This is! It's like you don't care about anything anymore!"
"I don't!" he says cheerfully, pulling out his wand and mumbling something under his breath.
Pansy blinks, her jaw dropping. "...come again?"
"I don't care! About anything! I'm so sick of putting so much effort into pointless things that I don't care about. I'm sick of it. I just want to be happy. So that's what I'm doing. I'm going to be happy now."
"Is this because of Zabini? You shouldn't be hanging out with him, he-"
"Is a lot smarter than most people. Stand back."
She scowls, opening her mouth to retort, but steps back anyways as he recites a spell.
Moments later, his hair is an electric shade of blue.
"...you really shouldn't be hanging out with Zabini."
Draco shrugs, grinning. "Whatever you say."
"...bye."
"Bye!"
