"You know, sometimes you've just gotta fúck it all. I mean sure, the future is important, but - the present is the most important. You'll never be happy if you're always fighting for future happiness. You just gotta fúck it all, ask yourself what you would be doing if you knew the world was gonna explode tonight, and do that."
"Mood."
"Hella."
Draco and Blaise Zabini exchanged grins.
"So, an asteroid's gonna wipe out earth tonight. What're you gonna do?" Blaise asks.
Draco shrugs, pausing and staring at the ceiling. "... I dunno. I've never thought like that before. You know, in the moment. I've always been so... Goal-oriented, I don't even know what I like, or where to start."
"Don't start anywhere. You might not know it, but your subconscious does. Just get up. Right now. Do whatever the hell you want, whatever comes to mind, no matter how stupid or crazy it seems."
Draco stands, hesitantly, a bit bewildered and disbelieving. He hesitates, then says. "You know, I guess I think I kinda wanna kiss you a little bit."
"Go for it. My breath totally smells like weed, though."
"While we're at it, I want a hit of that, too."
Laughter erupts, lips meet, and Draco wonders why he never tried this before.
