Another Poem... (I'll add more later... he he)

Constraints are:
- 4 quatrains
- no adjectives, adverbs, or similes,
- the word "lime"
- alternating lines of 8 and 10 syllables



Yonder Sky

A lime in the sky, there yonder
The moon, a glowing orb of seething light
Glowering up in the Earth's skies
Upon me as I walk in the moonlight

A shadow crosses over me
Almost covering my entire face
An owl, perched on a branch, spots me
And glides off into the night's depth

I watch him as he flies, soaring
And long to be free, free like the heaven's sky
But now I fall into despair
I will never be free, but stay forever.

Forever will I long to fly
But alas I will never touch the sky
Here I am grounded on the Earth
But to stare up in wonder at the sky.
