flu day 6 kinda normal now

last night was like the WORST night of the flu holy shit😭 fever went up to over 101 (after being gone for a day no meds) had to finally take nyquil which made my chest burn for 4 hours so i couldn’t fall asleep im pretty sure my ribs are literally bruised from coughing

flu day 5 im sweating like a little bitch and i think ive lost like 10 pounds

happy new year i have the damn flu again 😭

had to take my mask off at work cuz it was literally almost 80. coworkers have been coming in sick all week so surprise!! started coughing yesterday woke up with the most violent sore throat and can’t fall asleep. will defo not be able to find cover bc most of my shifts r ass

when i write songs sometimes i use placeholder words to hold the meter until i come up with actual lyrics and for this chorus im working in rn ive been singing “the six, the seven, bush did 9/11” why is this better than any actual lyrics i could write…

i’m celebrating yule this year btw :D have been interested in paganism/spirituality for a while now but was never able to rly celebrate bc i was living w/ my christian family and then j lost touch once i went to college but have decided to research and have my own little celebration. nothing crazy. celebrated the solstice by lighting some yellow candles to celebrate the sun’s return + have been burning 1 section of a big taper candle every day (12 sections for 12 days!) also made See More a little blessings bowl, wrote down some wishes for the new year and put them in a wooden bowl with some salt, dried orange slices, spruce branches, pinecones, berries, and cinnamon. i also plan to make a hearty soup at some point and eat a celebratory pomegranate

today i bought a 4 and a half foot tall tree for my apartment but i didn’t think about the fact that it is 2 miles from my place to the plant shop. i had to take it on the bus. the bus driver audibly sighed when i got on

currently on tour and crashing at some guy’s house it’s 3 am i need to sleep but im currently playing with the cat

recent stuff:

-leaving for tour later this week :D
-finished the semester. miraculously passed all my classes (barely!)
-one of my fav professors got laid off im devastated
-went to a yard sale thing (kinda everything was being given away) got several cool items and made some friends:)
-the apartment i so badly wanted to move into last spring (i applied and literally BAWLED when it rented before they got to my application and tried everything to let them let me in.) burned See More down last night. massive 3 alarm fire. super upsetting but in hindsight maybe the universe was protecting me by not letting me live there.

omg i got into my school’s color darkroom class this is going to be SO intense and fun
