My sister is playing the sims and one sim just had a baby that aged up into a toddler and we're like "oh she has [sims name]'s eyes!" And it took us a moment to realize that they weren't the mothers eyes. They were the grandma's.

When writing your villain character, keep something ib mind: they believe that what they're doing is justified, and the sacrifices they make are nessesary. You should be able to look at the story through your villain's eyes and see the real protagonist as the antagonist.

When trying to solve a mystery, you have to look at all angles, look at all the details, even if it doesn't seem important, the littlest of things could be the thing that solves it all. It could explain the one thing you missed. When solving a mystery, everything is valuable information.
