I slept well, considering that I usually get nightmares whenever strange things happen during the day. I woke up early enough to see the sun rise, so I climbed to the roof of the Poseidon cabin to watch the sunrise. I saw a girl on the roof of the Demeter cabin watching me, so I waved. It didn't make any sense. Why was I back here, and why did the last eight years of my life seem like a dream? I was so dizzy, so tired. Percy loomed over me, looking awfully young. But so did I. Breakfast went by too fast, and soon it was time to use the pearls. I brought us to a space behind Zeus's Fist where we could use the pearls without distractions. I had to drill it into Annabeth's thick skull to focus on only The Great Salt Lake, NOWHERE ELSE.

I wasn't tired at all. I spent a few hours pacing my room (stupid ADHD) and thinking about nothing. I finally got bored and decided to take a walk. My instincts told me to go to the forest, and I've learned to trust them. I bobbed my way through the trees, following my instincts. After a while, I knew where I was headed. I'd been in this forest so many times I'd be a fool not to know that I was going to the clearing.
