Aww, that's sweet. I doubt it, though. My grandparents are the only people in my family that are likely to get me anything like that, and they already got me a teddy bear (and a bunch of Twix!). ^_^

Actually... Ugh! "Pivot Point" might be even better than "Princess Academy," but not better than "Spinning Starlight," so does that make "Spinning Starlight" the true second-best? Hm. But then what would be the third-best??? I can't choose between "Pivot Point" and "Princess Academy"!!!

Imagine. Every single person that you've ever seen has their own life. And even though that statement probably seems really obvious to you... You probably never really think about it. That one person that you only remember as the nice waiter at your favorite restaurant? That one little girl that you vaguely remember as the sweet kid that insisted on holding the See More door open for you? That one annoying kid that you hated because he annoyed your younger siblings? They all have their own complex, difficult lives. Every single person that you see in the street, in their car, leaving their lights on in a hotel past midnight... Any one of them could be dying. They could be the next president. They could be destined to find the cure for cancer. They might be the person that will someday save your life. That will save someone else's life. That will inadvertently help someone that will help another person that will help you. They might change your life, or someone else's, and you don't even know it. You just thank them for the meal, or for holding the door open, or glare at them, or honk at them when they're stuck in front of you in traffic, or ignore them entirely and never even acknowledge their existence. Every single one of those people have cried themselves to sleep at night for some reason at some time in their lives. Every single one of those people has a dream, a goal, a wish. Every single one of those people have had their hopes completely squashed at some point. Many of them have found ways to get back on their feet. Others are still broken. Some are giving up inside just as you bump into them in the hallway.
And you can't stop thinking about yourself.
