series: one way back ~ book one: test town

a new face

I walked out of the house a little scared about how i had gotten to the the other house.  I decided that if i was to survive i needed to find food i searched for a market and found one just a couple blocks from the house.  When i got inside there was no one there again i concluded it was a ghost town and hoped that the food was still good.  i found a bag full of Cheetos and could not resist.
                  The rest of the day i spent finding all my needs like new clothes and water and more healthy food by the end of the day i was back at the market picking up some water bottles when i herd a noise.  Scared i put on my backpack i had gotten from one of the stores and looked around searching for something i could defend myself with but all i could was a broken sign but i took it and was ready for whatever it was.  Just as i thought it might be nothing a hooded figure steps out from behind an old poster of a huge chip bag.  I stood still and so did the figure i stepped back a step and the figure didn't move i then ran as fast as i could but i felt hands pull me back it pushed me against the wall i then watched to see the figure pull back his hood to a young man maybe a little over my age.  all i could see was his cold eyes staring at me he pressed a bone on my neck and i was out cold.
