Guess in the scheme of things
That I’m not the only one
Knowing there’s much more to life
Than living just for fun
Time has a way of whispering
It may not be too late
To climb out of my four walls
Escape self imposed fate
Another world awaits me
When I rise and turn my back
On worthless indecision
Force myself to face the facts.

I’ll change because I can do.
Change because I need to.
Change because it’s in my power
To change my life with every hour.
Eliminate defensiveness;
Knowing things aren’t right
I can end uncertainty
If I change this very night

I’ve wasted too much time
On mindless and berating trash
That numbs the brain and sets me up
For failure’s painful crash
I’ve been duped into believing
Me comes first don’t know the reason.
Why don’t I just confess
It doesn’t work I’ve learned my lesson
If I want satisfaction
Need to look outside myself.
More happiness in giving
Not receiving I heard someone tell.
