Darkest Evil: A Halo Story (PART 1)
Chapter 3.

Mysterious Disappearance and New Introduction

As I woke up from my somewhat comfortable cot, I looked around to find 679. Where was he? I couldn't find him. I hope he didn't just abandon me, leave me here to die so my body can rot away in here. Nevertheless, I knew what I had to do. I got up, stretched, and I put on my armor. My armor locator was still broken but they should know I'm on the halo by now. The escape pod wasn't entirely engulfed in flames. I saw the locator on the pod clearly working. I just couldn't get it off.

As the day went on, I knew I had to start building the ship. If anything, the UNSC should've arrived last night. Anyways, I prepared 4 standing points where the ship will stand. Then, though salvaging the entire base, I made a workspace. It was a nice place to work. The sun was shining, but I could only see few rays as the entire sky was covered in lively and lush trees. First I made the engine for the ship. Making the engine is no easy thing.

I was working on the base for the ship when I heard a groan. I walked into an infested room with vines and spider webs everywhere. Up in the ceiling was a spartan. He was groaning and trying to get out of some vines tangled up together. I helped him down and he seemed weak. I helped him back to my little camp and introduced myself.
        "Are you okay?" I asked.
"Er, yeah, I'm alright," said the spartan.
"I'm Spartan Carter. And you are?" I asked.
"I'm Spartan Brad, at your, er, service." said Brad.
"Good to meet you. Do you know where you are?" I asked.
"I don't know," said Brad. "Some sort of jungle?"
"You're on the Halo with me," I said.
"Really?" Brad asked. "Thanks for coming."
"I'm building a ship. Once you get better, do you wanna help?" I asked.
"Er, definitely," said Brad. "But I need to do something first."
        "What's that?" I asked.
"Go inside the Halo. Find classified Forerunner life specimen. Er, eradicate the Halo once and for all," Brad said.
