Demigod of Death

My life thus far (spoiler, it sucks!)

Hello, my name is Seven Lucky Drewson, but my friends call me Sev.
I live in a regular old city, doing regular old things, getting bothered by regular old idiots, and beating up said regular old idiots.
It's pretty much my life.
My father is Nex, you know, god of darkness and death and what not. He's a interesting guy, if you call never talking to your child and always grumbling about stuff interesting.
My mom, however, is the NICEST person you will ever meet on the Midlands. She's fun, kind, caring, and pretty much the only person who truly knows me. I visit her everyday in the hospital, between my many sucky low paying jobs, and it's always nice to see her smile.
Life was perfectly fine, if you call that fine, but then.. THEN things started getting interesting, let's just say.
Well this is MY story, so I hope you enjoy it while I try not die (I guess)

I leaned against a wall in a dirty old alley, nothing new I suppose. Except for the fact a strange smell was coming from one of the dumpsters. It smelled like eggs gone bad- Not good. I moved away a bit when I sensed a strange presence. I waited awhile, just staring at the wall, trying not to act as if I noticed it. But the presence never went away, so I decided to see if it was listening on me.
"I can sense you, you know," I said quietly, starting to hope they would go away. But, as my luck stands, apparently not.
A boy appeared, about 16, with long white hair, light skin, and glowing yellow eyes. He had a strange scar which looked like stitches going from his scalp, across his nose, and ending at his opposing jaw. He was fairly muscled, if a bit skinny, and he did not at all look like he would have a super powerful aura. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but he's just a kid.
"You're Nex's son, I believe..?" His voice didn't sound like a kids. More like a mans. Pretty sure he was possessed by a god.
"So what if I am? Who are you?"
He brought out a sword, "Lichen."
I narrowed my eyes, whoever this guy was he wasn't good news.
"What's your interest with Nex?"
"My interest is in your friends, the gods."
"Oh, let me guess, they bugged you or something."
He did not look impressed, "Kain did."
Kain, the God of war, tended to do those kinds of things. Once a dick, always a dick.
"So just because one idiot made you feel bad your attacking all of them? How does that make sense?"
He looked even less impressed, "Their corrupting this land, getting revenge is just a bonus. Look around you does this look healthy?"
Anwser: No. It does not. We're in a polluted city in a dirty alley; Of course it doesn't.
"I guess not. But what makes you think you can take out ALL the gods?"
"I am a god myself. And I would rather spend a thousand years trying to save this land then let it fall into chaos and death. I come from a place where the gods have screwed it up and I wish to stop this land from doing the same."
Well, I'll give the guy credit. It makes perfect sense. I mean, they really haven't been doing anything at all lately...
I decided to take a chance, both to save my hide and my moms.
"Hm, is that so? Well, I don't think killing the demigods is going to, say, get at him. Or any one of them. Just saying."
He raised a eyebrow, "Oh really?"
"Yeah, I mean; just cause we help out here doesn't mean killing us is gonna get at him. You gotta go for the big ones."
"Hmm.." He tapped the tip of his sword against the ground, pondering something. I quickly added in, praying I wouldn't get smited.
"A-and, well, I can't say much of course. Just a suggestion."
"Would you help me?" He looked up, his yellow eyes staring through mine, "You could help make the world a better place. Think about it."
And I did think about it. A lot. Nex would totally kill me if he finds out, heck, he would END me- But there was something intriguing about all this. What if it's successful? I could go down in history as a hero.
"I'm in," I blurted out.
Little did I know at the time, this one decision would change everything.
