In an instant, the ship engulfed in red aura, the fighter no longer looked like on of those old earth fighter jets like the F-16s. The ship changed form, the extra wings formed an X shape with the old wings, and a large laser cannon materialized on the nose of the fighter.
15 battle cruisers were lined up with thousands of enemy fighters. The sight was...horrific. "Fire laser cannon on my mark at 14 degrees left, and 35 degrees up!"
~AI: Roger, adjusting...COMPLETE!~
"FIRE!"
...3 ships down, 100s of fighters vaporized. The hyper mode worked! As cheers could be heard from the out post, the hamans quickly retaliated, blasting the knight's fighter out of course.
~AI: Warning! Ship integrity at 45%.~
"Darn! I wasn't quick enough! Computer, activate the close combat charging systems!"
~AI: Activation complete! You are clear for close combat.~
"Try this! High speed rush!"
"Knight Chrome, please come in."~
"Chrome here, what is it Samotina?"~
"Sir, the enemy forces are retreating. They detect our main cannons powering up. They can't attack our outpost with the amount of damage you caused."~
"Roger, returning to base."~
"Chrome?"~
"Yes?"~
"N-nevermind. See ya when you get back. Commander Samotina out!"~
~AI: Transmission has ended. Would you like to engage auto pilot? Y/N~
"Yes computer. Take me to base." Chrome sighed out.
~AI: Roger...plotting course-course set!~
I'm finally going home, but I wish I could have avenged Chronos, Chrome thought.
