Kate's flashback
~Two years ago~Kate POV
It was freezing, blood surrounded me as I try to get up. But a pain in my abdomen wouldn’t aloud me. I yelled ouch as I slowly went back down.
My breathing became heavy as I heard someone walk in.
I weakly turn and look to see it was Maggie. I gleam with happiness Maggie could you help me every word seem to take so much breath. She stood there in silent,
Maggie I said worry fill my eyes as I look at the kitchen knife she was holding coated in blood.
My blood I thought, I felt the walls closing on me. I heard every drop of my blood leave my body as my breathing became rapidly.
Maggie stare at me amused at my panic, but soon look away when a tall skinny man with black hair, attractive skin but eyes that say I’m a bad boy.
He was dress in black jeans with a chain on his left pocket and had a shirt of a skull head with a band name and was strangely pale.
Maggie kissed him lightly but long on the lips and bring up the knife and said silent so I wouldn’t hear.
Maggie POV
Care to do the honor, I said softly to my boyfriend he smile deviously at me.
With pleasure cupcake, he reply kissing me and taking the knife from me.
He walked towards my so called friend, and attack with full force i just watch amused by her taunting screams.
Kate POV
I saw him come over to me with a knife I gasp even harsher as I saw my life flash before me. Without warning he’s attack full force cutting my legs and arms I scream in agony AAH!!!
I turn to Maggie but she just look pass me amused at my cries of mercy. She had betrayed me giving me to the hands of death.
My only friend who I trusted and love, betrayed me because of him. What did I do wrong? I thought to myself tears fill my eyes.
The last thing I saw before blacking out was the painful betrayed of my friends face haunting my memory.
When the police found and arrested Maggie and her boyfriend I was so near death that it was hard for the parametric to get a pulse from me. I was so badly hurt that the doctor said I shouldn't have survived.
Maggie and her boyfriend was charge with first degree murder and instead of being sent to a juvenile they were sent to a prison, being one of the youngest criminals to be there.
My mom wrapped me tightly in her arms a week after they found me almost bleeding to death.
The doctor told me I should stay a couple more days to make sure I have enough blood in my body for my own blood can continued there process.
So I stay in the hospital until November 18 and finally I was free to go.
My mom went into action she told me to be careful who I trusted I nodded and agree to do what she told me, but not expecting how serious she was.
I came back from my haunted memory of that day and took a sip of my almost melted slushy. My mom and I was at Creams enjoying our free time. I don't know what shown it but my mom paused and look at me concern.
Kate are you alright, she asked worry in her voice?
I look at her returning to the present time and smile shyly, yeah… mom I’m alright just was thinking about that night, I said so soft that only she could hear me.
She was silent, awe… Honey she said leaning across towards me and kiss me on the forehead and going back.
She place a strain of hair behind my ears and said you don't need to worry about that, I’m not letting anything else happen to you, I promise, she ended sternly.
I smile at my mom and reply I know mom I know.
She smile back at me and kiss me on the forehead and I laugh and took a sip of my slushy still looking at my mom.
At that moment the door came open and we both turn to see Maliyah and Chris laughing while they came inside. Maliyah look at me seem excited to see me, but tired the same time.
Hey she said nearing the table, what a surprise to see you here.
Well it is a small town I reminded and laugh.
She smile well your right about that mind if we sit with you, she asked?
I turn to my mom who looked was trying to decide should she or should she not she finally made her decision, Sure, she said and smile at us.
Maliyah yelp in excitement, before telling her dad that our neighbor said we could sit with them before happily sitting beside me.
Maliyah POV
So I started as my dad sat down beside her mother and gave me my Blueberry Slushy. So we told you our names, what are yells’ name, I asked turning to her?
She look at me surprise not knowing if she should tell or not or even trust me. She looked at her mom who seem to have the same thought of her daughter, but decided that it would be okay so she smile at us telling her it was okay, she smile back as i waited for her daughter to answer,
I turn to her and she spoke its Kate and this is my mother Christina she finished pointing to her mother. I smile at her but quickly turn it around when i saw her worry face.
I didn't understand what was the matter with her, why is she so scared to give me a chance to be her friend?
The thoughts kept coming to me but i simply turn them away and begin to asked friendly questions.
After we were done, we both left laughing and possibly as friends but i don't want to jump the gun just yet.
