The Broken: Horror House

Arriving

~ten years later~

Maliyah POV

I heard the car door shut as my dad came out of the driver seat. I turn to see him getting some boxes from the trunk. I decide to help him dad, I asked coming beside him,
Hum…. He said as he walk towards our new house and unlock it.
Why we had to move, I finally asked although it was like the ten thousandth time.
He groan than sigh Maliyah I already told you why because of my new job, he answered for the ten thousandth time.
but dad I don't want to be here I like my old life my old friends everyone here is going to make fun of me or something, I be ginned to complained I place the box on the floor.

I found myself looking around in round room the wall seem bare and stone Gray but what caught my eye was a beautiful fireplace than I turn and look and saw a kitchen and further down a hall and a staircase. The floor down that way was plated with oak wood and it had that warm family feeling. As if it was Christmas or something. i walk to an open bedroom door and peak inside. Inside it was basically empty with wooden floors and white wallpaper which cover the stone wall hidden beneath it. But what caught my eye was a huge window and a place u can sit at and look out at the surrounded atmosphere. I glance out the window and saw a few trees and a small river beneath us and smooth rocks it was incredible sight.
I turn to leave until something caught my eye. I turn to see another girl around the same age as me 15. She was helping her mom take boxes in the house.
I yelled dad!! Not knowing dad was actually coming down the hall looking for me.
There you are honey he said letting out a breath of relief.
Who’s that, I asked pointing to the girl and her mom coming out of the house to get more boxes?
I don't know honey you want to go meet her.
I nodded my head, and begin to run out the door towards them, my dad show a smile saying I told you so
But I simply ignore and smack my lips at him and headed out the door with him following.

Kate POV
I was talking to my mom about my new play idea, mostly ignoring her with it as we both begin to walk to the house that looked very moral-like well if you were here twenty years ago.
We begin walking towards the house but I paused in fear when I heard a branch snapped. I look behind me to see a girl with dark brown hair which was in a high ponytail. She had blue eyes and a smooth face.  The near opposite of my freckle face, red hair that was also in a ponytail and green hazel eyes. Behind this girl was a strong husky man with light brown hair and blue eyes just like her possibly her dad.

My mom turn as the girl said hello…

Hi, I said shyly she smile at me,

The man came out of the woods and greeted my mom hello and shake her hand
My mom said hi back than we all was silent for a moment.
The girl clear her throat um hey, I'm Maliyah and this is my dad Chris. She said to I'm guessing both of us but she kept staring at me with wonder in her eyes making me feel uncomfortable.
I guess she saw my feeling in my eyes because she quickly said sorry and let go of my hand. We once again stare at each other in silences.
I clear my throat, do you guys want to help.
This time her dad spoke we would love too but we have to unpack too.
Oh okay, I said with a smile on my face but when they were out of sight my mouth went back to thin line than to a frown.
My mom saw it and place her hand on her shoulder. Is there something wrong sweetie.
I was silent for moment watching them go behind to oak trees and eventually into their house, until I finally said no everything is find.
I paused than continued they seem like nice people, mom,
She looked at me and hum. Smiling at me wanting me to continue...do you think we could be friends, I finally asked?
My mom seem to gazed off in memory, before saying Katrina which was my full name letting me know this is serious, you know what happen the last time I let you be friends with someone, my mom said firmly she paused  in memory.
Before, saying now I don't want to lose you, I love you too much and she kiss me on the forehead.
I silently said yes I know and hug her but yet i still want us to be friends I added.
I know honey I know she said hugging me tightly but we must not forget that day.
Why not? I asked not really understanding why...
Because, we don’t want history to repeat itself, we don't want it to happen again, she answer looking straight into my eyes. Than went back hugging me your too precious to me, she added before letting me go, and pick up the box she first had and walking towards the house once more.
I just stand there and watch gazed into my memory the day in which I will never forget. I came back to the real world, and sigh I know momma, I know I finished and begin walking toward the house with my box. Before entering I turn too looked at Maliyah’s house before entering in.

Not knowing afterwards a little girl was staring straight at me.
