The Capitol Games Part Two

Victory Interview

I stared in the mirror whilst my prep team stood back to admire their work.

I was in a knee length strapless dress.
I was many shades of purple that looked so prefect together!

My makeup was done elaborately,
but it looked alright on me.

Would Tristan like it?
"I really need to stop thinking about Tristan!" I told myself.

But my thoughts kept wandering over to him,
and I couldn't help it.

I looked down and saw I wore beautiful open-toe purple shoes.
They looked nice with the dress, so I smiled and thanked the prep team.

"It was our pleasure!" One of them said and waved my off.

I walked done the hall and met up with Tristan.
"Should I tell him?" I thought.

"No, later." I decided.

"Hey Tristan!" I said.
"Hey Dawn, you look amazing." Tristan said and then blushed.

"You too." I said, and felt warmth spread across my cheeks.
We stood by the stage entrance and waited to be told to go on.

A crew member came up to us a few minutes later and told us to walk on stage.
Tristan and I laced our fingers together, I pretended it didn't mean anything to me.

"Welcome, congratulations on being the first EVER Capitol Games victors!" Lush said as we took our seats.
"Thank you Lush." Tristan said.

"Now tell me, what did you think of the arena?" Lush asked.

"It is a place of horrors. But I was able to survive it because of Tristan." I said and stared dreamily into Tristan's eyes.
Did he notice how it wasn't feigned?

Tristan nodded in agreement while the crowd swooned.
"You two lovers are just like Katniss and Peeta!" Lush commented.

Tristan and I laughed.
"Now, let's have a view of the games." Lush said and we all turned towards a large screen.

Our time in the arena appeared on the screen.

They showed the scene where we dropped the berries,
as well as the seen where I killed the green-haired girl and cried in Tristan's arms.

I watched intently as other parts of the Capitol Games were displayed we hadn't witnessed.

I watched a young boy kill a girl much older then him, only to be murdered by her ally.
The screen played other scenes from the arena.

It really is a place of horrors.

Lush continued the interview and eventually we were dismissed from the stage.
Gemma came up to us once we were done.

"Alright! It's off to the train for you two." Gemma said curtly.

"A Victor's Village has been constructed recently.
It was completed so quickly due to the use of the Capitol's newest technology." Gemma said.

She motioned for us to follow her as she walked towards the train station.
What would await for Tristan and I back home?
