Into the WoodsYou walked quietly through the forest headbanging to "Headstrong" by Trapt. You had your hands in your jacket pockets, holding onto your IPod in one, and your pencils in the other. You had your sketchbook clutched under your arm.
You don't normally come into these woods, but today you just needed to get away from everyone. You saw a nice quiet looking field of flowers and decided to stop here. You sat Indian style amongst the flowers and changed the music to some Mozart.
As the piano keys played a lovely tune like honey, you opened your sketchbook and turned to the page of your dragon sketch. You admired it's wings which were twisted into the at rest position. His fiery eyes stared through the picture into yours. I was a calm picture, but at the same time it looked like the dragon could swoop out at any moment. You grabbed your pencil and started to add detail onto it. Shadowing the scales making them look realistic. You couldn't help but have a sigh, this just didn't seem right.
You shut the book and lied down on the grass staring at the sky. A hawk was circling lazily above the field looking for a bite to eat. The sun felt amazing as it warmed you all the way down to the bone. You inhaled the fresh air. "It smell so pure!" You thought. Suddenly your IPod started to give off feedback and was soon playing nothing but static. You shot upright and yanked the headphones out of your ears.
"Ow, ow, ow!" You exclaimed holding your ears.
Then you got an idea, grabbing your sketchbook you ran out of the field and into the forest. Soon you found yourself climbing onto a large rock in the middle of the trees. You looked around admiring every little detain and aspect of the forest. Soon your hand was sketching your surroundings moving faster than your brain could keep up with it. Finally, you finished with an aching hand and began to admire your masterpiece.
You had drawn the beautiful scenery perfectly down to even the smallest detail. "Hmm..." you thought grabbing a pen from your pocket. You outlined the trees with the black pen making it look more like a graveyard. What was once a picture of the beautiful forest now looked like something from Scooby-Doo.
"You know what would make this picture really creepy?" you asked yourself, "Slenderman!" you grinned and sketched a tall man in a suit with tentacles coming out of his back. You went back over it with your pen and looked at it. It needed one more thing. You drew shadowlines on his face where his nose and eyes would be to make it seem as if his face was just hid behind thin, cloth like material.
You grinned while admiring your drawing, it looked fantastic! You were beginning to hear that static again and reached up to pull out my headphones but realized that I had never put them back in. Your heart skips a beat. Eventually you shrugged it off and just thought that you were probably just dehydrated.
You awoke to find that the sun was gone and instantly began to panic. You looked around at the dark forest that stood ominously around you. Your head started to ache and tingle. Your hands and face were burned and irritated. The static was coming back and tears began to stream down your face.
"Please, please stop this." You pleaded closing your eyes and putting your head on your hands. Your sobs drowned out the static and you hoped it was finally gone, but it soon just grew louder. You felt something touch your shoulder.
"Fear is a terrible thing isn't it my child?" Said a voice as smooth as silk. Your head bolted upright and you came face to face with the very man who had just tread in your dreams...Slenderman.
As fear gripped you, it froze your body as adrenaline rushed through your veins. Your fearful gaze studied the white that should have been his face.
"Are you going to kill me?" You whispered so quietly you wondered if he even heard you. He moved the black tentacle that had touched your shoulder next to your face causing you to flinch. He paused for a moment the continued and brushed the hair out of your face. By now you had stopped crying as your fear slowly started to dissolve. Yet he still hadn't answered your question.
"No, I would never kill anyone as talented as you," he pulled his tentacle away purposefully brushing your arm, "Or as beautiful." You blushed but he probably couldn't see it through your sunburn. He handed you your sketchbook. "I'll see you again (Y/N)"
Then he was gone. He had just disappeared. You reached into your pocket and found something new. You took it out of your pocket and examined it. A mini flashlight. "I still don't know how to get out of here though." you thought hopelessly. You noticed a page folded in your sketchbook making it stand out. You flipped it open to the page just after your drawing of the forest and saw that it was covered in elegant handwriting. You soon realized as you read that it was directions out of the woods. At the bottom it said, "-Slender. P.S. Nice drawing." You quietly giggled knowing he had seen the drawing of him. You stood silently.
"Thank you...for everything"
