Alexis the Hedgebat

The beginning.

I fell to my knees, tears running down my cheeks. I held the ashes close to my face and looked Eggman strait in the eyes. "You monster!" I screamed at him with all my rage. I flew into the air both my hands held light. Eggman then took the advantage to this and put a light blue collar on me. He shocked me till I was on my knees again.

I was sitting in my room when Eggman zapped me. I ran to him as Metal Sonic stared at me. I smiled at him as Eggman explained that we were going to earth, to get this very secret project called, Project Shadow. The name sounded cool but Eggman didn't have any information on it. "When do we go doctor?" Metal asked. "Actually Metal Sonic, Alexis and I are just going to be there. I need you to recharge before heading out." Metal looked at me then nodded. "Now Alexis, chaos control us to the base," Eggman said handing me a chaos emerald. I didn't hesitate and we were in a room with a giant dusty machine. "Are you sure this is the right place doctor?" I asked. "According to the files, the shadow creature is suppose to be in that machine." I handed him the emerald and watched the machine light with life. I covered my eyes as we both saw a black figure walk towards us. We both saw it was a black hedgehog with parts of red on it. "I am Shadow. You have awakened me from a state of suspended animation and I am very grateful. To show my gratitude I am at your command." Eggman and I both stared at each other as the Shadow walked towards me. "What should we do doctor?" I asked as a giant robot came towards us. "I will show you my power doctor," Shadow said destroying the robot with one punch. I stared at him as Eggman handed me the chaos emerald. "Alexis get us out of here," Eggman said. I nodded and chaos controlled us back to the base. I went back into my room and played Say my name by Destiny's Child. I smiled till I saw a flash from my open door. Weird I was sure I closed it. I ignored it and lay on my bed singing. With my bat ears I could hear someone else singing the guy parts. I could tell it wasn't Metal and Eggman was working on something. The song ended and I decided to ask Eggman about Shadow. I ran into Rouge and she was staring out into outside through the giant glass windows. "Rouge!" I said hugging her. It had been son long since I'd seen her. She was my only friend. "Hi Alexis have you seen the new guy?" I rolled my eyes and nodded. "I got to go," I said getting serious. "One thing you and Shadow have in common is that your both always thinking," Rouge called after me. I ignored her and kept walking. Further into the hallway I saw Shadow staring out the window also. "Hi Shadow," I said smiling. Shadow just stared at me then back at the window. "Hmph," I said walking away. "Hello," Shadow said grabbing my arm. I stared at him closely. He was wearing ear pieces and was listening to the song Grenade by Bruno Mars. I did like that song and smiled at him. "See you later," I said. Shadow finally let go of my arm and I flew down the hall, stopping myself. "I wonder if Shadow's ever been outside?" I asked myself. I stared at the ground as he walked towards me. "Hey Shadow want to come outside with me?" I asked. Shadow looked at me questioning me. I took his wrist and ran to the top of the ship. Eggman really didn't care if I went outside ,so I didn't have to ask him. I spread my wings out and sat on the edge of the ship. Shadow joined me and we both looked into the sky. We were very high in the air. As soon as I remembered that I held my hand and climbed to m feet. "What's wrong?" Shadow asked. I pointed down and backed away. My eyes closed as I fell off the ship, hearing Shadow calling my name.
