I ran out crying. Why? Why Katniss? Why would you die for her? I couldn't take it. My lovely big sister died for a young girl that she doesn't even know! I sat outisde crying. She came out. I looked up to see swollen eyes. "Why are your eyes..." "Because I don't deserve this! I never did! To make Peeta and Katniss die for me, that's just horrible! I should have died!" She then wiped her eyes. I stared at her for a moment. I stood up and hugged her. "I understand." I said. It's probably hard for her right now, thinking that someone died for her, A poor small girl. "It's ok." It took a while for her to stop crying. "She told me lots about you Prim, I think she died for me because I was the same age and height. I think when she looked at me she saw you!" I froze. Katniss, you took pity on her because she was like me? Now I understand better. So this is why. "Come let's go play with Gale!" I shouted. She looked me and nodded. "Come!" We ran to Gale's house and there he was, just sitting there. "Gale!" I shouted. He looked at me and then at Rue but then looked away. He was sad. "Hey Gale, this is Rue and she's come to play with us!" "I don't want to play!" he angrily shouted. Rue understood why and ran. "Rue, no!" I ran after he and stopped her. "Stop! I know he doesn't like you because of Katniss but please stay!" She looked away and then walked back. "What do you want?" Gale shouted. "I know she's dead because of me but it's not only hard for you but for me too! Do you think I liked it that she died for a poor little girl like me?" Rue asked. For a while, it was silent. "What do you want to play?" I smiled at Gale. We played for 1 hour or so when my mom came out. "Prim, Rue!" She shouted. We thanked Gale and hurried back home. "Prim, Rue, we need to talk." We sat down and listened. "Rue's father and I have decided that it's better if Rue comes and lives with us. So, are there any objections?" "No!" we both shouted at the same time. "Ok, your father brought your stuff so don't worry!" We went up to my room and sat on the bed. "I'll take Katniss's room!"I said. She smiled and took her stuff out. "I'm so happy we're living together!" Rue said. We hugged and went down for dinner. I knew this was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Katniss, I will always remember and love you!
