The Unseen War
Chapter 2.

The SAS involvement

The wreck room. The place where Delta team went to rest up and get debreifed. Sarah was sat on a sofa, Zax sat next to her, she had her legs over the top of his as she was sat sideways. Fred and David were arm wrestling on a table just in front of them. Marcus was off in a corner smoking a cigarette, watching the little match. Fred nearly easily had David beat, but suddenly the general of the AHI walked in. She was a toned woman in a suit, she had long black hair with the same colour nails. "Delta" She smiled.
David ditched the arm wrestle. "General! How can we help?" Everyone looked up, no one stood up due to the AHI being fairly chilled but Marcus did put out his fag.
"Everyone, this is commander Mercedes Aubel of the SAS" She told them, a woman in her early 40s walked it, blonde her and no real defining facial features. "She's going to be your...Handler from now on"
"Excuse you?" Marcus added.
"I argee with him for once" Zax then spoke up.
"Handler? Tell we don't need Jack, we're fine as it is" David said.
"I would disagree commanderJackson. See the SAS have had enough of your constant unauthorised engagement with situation that are under control" Mercedes added. She took a step forward, she was carrying a duffle bag. "Therefore I'm here to make sure, you don't. And to make sure your squad is up to check"
"Please. You think we'd do so much "unauthorised" stuff if we weren't trained enough?" Sarah asked her.
"No I wouldn't think. Like you 2nd Lt. Ishi, who didn't even pass her Physical examination, how are you not a liability to your team? It's Becaue you are" Mercedes bluntly told her. "And don't even get me started on him" She turned and looked at Marcus. Suddenly everything was silent. He threw his fag aside and walk over some more.
He looked her in the eyes. "Please, inform me"
"Where too start Sargent Summers? Convicted criminal, drug dealer, mentally unstable, flaming mess of a personal life and overall lack of moral" She stared at him bluntly.
Marcus just smiled. "And yet I hold the record time for the house op demo. Have more missions complete than any other youngster of my age. Am still here and have probably more successful mission in the space of a week. Than you do in your life. Ma'am. If you're trying to prove a point please take note that you've only called out two people of five. All of which are ex SAS. Also, former drug dealer. I don't do that shit anymore"
"Your eyes say otherwise" Mercedes quickly countered.
"Better watch your back saying shit like that" He added until Zax pulled him back.
Mercedes turned back to David. "You squad needs to be supervised, and he needs a leash. You have to deal with that.  I will simply stand by" She soon walked out.
"David I'm sorry" the general tried to add.
"It's fine Hannah. We'll put up with it. Won't we Marcus?" He turned to Marcus, who was lighting another cigarette.
"Sure, but I ain't letting it be easy" He said.
"Bro, come on. Let's just get this shit done" Fred told him. Marcus rolled his eyes. It was ganna be a long week.
