Oh moon, oh moon,
Did you hear about Earth?
Her children killed her,
They ripped her apart,
I've heard you're next.

Oh moon, oh moon,
You don't yet look dead enough
We will build highways on your forehead,
Our skyscrapers blinding your vision.

Oh moon, oh moon,
You look too welcoming,
We will take you for ourselves as we always do,
Can we ever learn?

Oh moon, oh moon,
We will call you home,
Yet we will never care about you,
Call you our mother, yet kill you anyway.

Oh moon, oh moon
When will we learn,
Everything we touch turns to rubble underneath our ignorant fingers,
Our pride stopping us from realizing.

Oh moon, oh moon
You do not know,
Just the way we will beautifully ruin you,

Call ripping out your nature securing our future,
Call polluting you moving forwards,
Call destroying you art,
Call killing you necessary.

Oh moon, oh moon,
Can you forgive us?
The way we disposed of you like a child disposes of an unloved toy,
We are sorry we swear!
This wasn't how it was supposed to be,
Nothing can be done now,
Goodbye mother, we will search for a new home now,
But We will take care of her,
We promise...
