Rose's Diary

Entry #2

We are taking a steam ship to a place called New York, and it is getting very uncomfortable. We have cramped living spaces and when we are not on deck the seasickness is so bad that the adults are laying down close together. I don’t seem to get sick as much as they do. Many of the people here have died, and they only put the bodies in canvas sacks before dropping them into the water. Aaron and Sheena spend a lot of time on deck, soaking in the soleil, or that is what they say they are doing. Arma brought his books along and we like to read into the night. We should be arriving in America soon, so au revoir!
