A lot of people with anxiety and depression use the internet to help them cope with their issues, like how I do. So if you took that away from them, it would just make their condition worse.

No. It wouldn't. If anything it would cause more of that. People on the internet who are getting hurt, need to realise that they are in a place where no one cares what they think, there's no physical contact, and generally people use it to talk to friends.

Well people use the internet to mainly talk to others. Take that away and (nearly) the whole world would be furious. Some people may suicide BECAUSE internet is taken away.
Ex: A girl lives a horrible life and only has friends on the internet. When it is taken away, she feels like she had lost a huge part of her.

I know they do. That is usually a result from cyberbullying.
But I am saying some people may live a tough life and use the internet to their escape from reality...then they might kill themselves when that is taken away.

(Trigger warning-mentions of self harm, suicide etc)
This is a very interesting question.
Social media can be accessed by anyone, and they can use it in whatever manner they like.
This kind of freedom is often abused by people who romanticise, glorify and even encourage self harm/suicide by posting things like this (TRIGGER WARNING-self harm/razors used to self harm) http://40.media.tumblr.com/df4e2448f8a1e974a83c9e2d1301240b/tumblr_ncu6se64ty1u091ako1_500.jpg

U make an excellent point but as again there some real mean people which can take it too far at times which is why I brought up this question, to make people think on what social media is doing to the world. And when u think about it could this situation lead to corruption. As ur right people do use internet for good uses like kids helpline and other helpful See More▼

Except the internet cannot account for all anxiety that modern teens feel nowadays. There's things like television, magazines, social interaction that partake in that.

The only way to stop drama and suicide is for the people who start it to really think about what'd happen as a result.

No, I think the only way to fix that is to stop bullying.
