is black even a color?
Please tell me! it's been annoying me, and i don't know if it counts or not.

Black is when you mix every color to get the absence of any color whatsoever, so yes and no.

The way you see black is a mix of all colours. So it may count as a colour because of that. It might also be a shade but it depends how you would like to look at it. I personally think it's a shade.
