Followers are normally gained when you do something they like. If they find some content from you, and like it, they will follow you, because they want to know you more.
It isn't just with quizzes, either. This includes stories, quizzes, pages, and polls.

Oh, and you can get followers by following others, too. A lot of people will follow back, so use that as another tactic.

What I would do is make lots of helpful or popular topic based or just interesting sounding quizzes stories etc. you can also follow people and most of the time they will follow you back. Wish you the best :)
