I think that a trickier question is 'why do people strive to find the meaning of life, instead of letting the meaning of life find them.' You aren't gonna find it, if you look.

I don't think life has a specific meaning. I think we're here, on Earth, to do our individual tasks. I think everyone's life has a different meaning. For some, it will be to fight for freedom. Others to help the poor. Others will go on to do amazing things. But someone's life meaning could be to raise a family and give their children the best life possible. So life on general has no meaning, but everyone's life has a different one... If that makes sense.
Right. I think asking "What is the meaning of your life" would be harder though becasue I have no idea what my purpose is yet...
