I am sorry that this is going to be a horrible comparision, but this reminds me of the so called "Homestucks" who only ship straight ships and when you ask then why they say "that character clearly isn't gay!!1!!" or something like that because they are a homophobic idiot. I mean, a couple of the characters do seem to have official sexualities. For example, Rose See More was/kinda is dating Kanaya. Kanaya does not have a gender, but Rose sees Kanaya as a GIRL. So stop shipping her with John and stop shipping Kanaya with... idk, Dirk. I mean, they would be bisexual or pansexual, but you get the point.
To be a fandom, you have to accept a character or person in the fandom as who they are. You can't be going and changing their sexuality, persona, appearance, etc. because you don't agree with it. @MikasPrincess (Do I need to tag you?)

I wrote some crappy AUs for you guys to use. I will give you a follow or something way cooler than that if you use one for a story (with credit in the description and beginning of first chapter). Bonus points if it is a ship that I ship.
-Character A lost a bet and had to ask Character B out, but 20 minutes later the person who dared them changed his mind but he still asks them out.
-Character A attends their close friend’s or distant cousin’s wedding, only to be accidentally See More pushed onto one of the grooms men or bridesmaid (Character B), making them kiss.
-Character A (male) had a one night stand with a character of another sex a while back, and now lives with Character B (preferably male). 7 years later, the other character comes to the door with a child and forces Character A and B to raise the kid.
-Character A has kids from a poorly decided previous relationship (Bonus points if it was arranged), and Character B becomes the babysitter of the kids.
-Character A and Character B go to the same high school, and both got randomly chosen to be the two school representatives to go to a multi-school meeting to discuss the (terrible) idea of a multi-school/district prom.
-Character A wants to ask Character B to prom, but Character B asked one of Character A’s friends. So, Character A tries to figure out whatever Character B say in the other girl/guy.
-Character A gets a tattoo at Character B’s tattoo parlor and passes out from the pain. Character B has to take them to hospital and makes sure they don’t suddenly die and have their body fall off the edge of the earth.
-Character A tries to steal something from a stranger’s house. Character B lives near the stranger and tries to stop Character A from stealing because they don’t want to get them in trouble.
-Character A and B are best friends until Character B goes missing, and forces Character A into a state of despair.
-Character A and B live in a super religious town and are dating. They both have to come out almost everyone they talk to, but some things go severely wrong. (Same gender couple only if you can’t tell already)
-Character A is a filthy rich prince/princess and Character B is a thief. Character A’s family ordered the beheading of Character B and Character A has to try to get the beheading to not happen due to their love for Character B.
