OK, DaveKat is not exactly canon. Here is why: All ships are canon in some way shape or form. Therefore, DaveKat is the same amount of canon as (for example) Stridercest or Erifef. So, if you have an obession and/or are upset, GET OVER IT. It is not big deal. Techically all ships are canon in some time line (shown or not), which means they are all also non canon.
