Something new
Josh's POV-------------------------------
Rain, mud, gun, instincts and darkness. The forest was always the same for me. I was waiting, laying down in the mud, with nothing but some leaves covering me. It brought back memories. When I first started I wanted to push myself to the limit. I took a training piece, I had to survive in the woods for a week. No food, no weapons, just me and my ability. They drop you off a hill, most people hit the bottom die or break a leg. I hit it and broke my wrist and two ribs. Only I and someone else have lived that test. The rain lighten up and was stopping. "Josh. Josh. You there mate?" I heard Davis on my ear piece.
I put a finger on my ear piece. "I here. What's up?"
"Jess just contacted me, telling me not to send anyone to sector C8. So, four genetics can't handle something there. I worried abo-" I cut Davis off.
"I got dude, heading out now" I told him.
"Thanks bro"
"Heh no problem" I got up from my spot and and check my arm, it had my GPS on it. I started making my way to the girls. I had my M4A1 at the ready.
I was walking slowly through the forest, I was in C8 but couldn't see shit. I turned to my left hearing the sound a twig break. I saw Sapphire on the ground, face down. I walked over looking around. I knelt down aside her. "Hey you okay?"
She looked up at me. "No..."
"Honest" I put my finger on my ear piece. "Dave I need evac at C8"
"Copy, sending it" He replied.
I heard some struggling ahead. "Hang here yeah?"
I walked over, I saw Jess and the other girl that I never got the name of there, fighting some guy. But he was having none of it and banged their heads together. They both fell over. I waited for a second, if two genetics couldn't take this guy, what could I do?
"X!" I heard that Jackie from afar. The man in the clearing looked over at her. She went right for him, but he just stood there. As she came up to him, he elbowed her in the face, knocking her down. No time for messing around. I started running at this guy, firing off my M4A1. He turned and faced me, just taking the bullets. I dropped my M4A1 and took out my M3 pistol. I placed it right against his head. "Last mistake" He said before punching me in the chest. I almost heard them break there and then. He sent me flying back, I smashed into a tree, hit the ground and laid there a second. Who was this guy. I got up slowly, looked right at him, and drew my knife. He walked slowly to me, then a freaking blade came out of his arm. "Are...You...F*cking...Kidding?" I said and ran at him. I held my knife upside down and took a downward slash at him. As I passed him, he took a slash at me with his arm thing. It took my clean off. "ARGH!" I fell to my knees. He then stood in front of me. He kicked me to the floor. He then stood over me. I tired to kick him, but as I got to him he cut my leg off with one slash. I was in agonizing pain. And I just...Blacked out.
