hunger games (the first)

the first (well kinda) reaping

It started with snow, all the way till the 74th games he is still alive.  The hunger games were made to show who's boss, snow.  I remember the first reaping the sky still had a little light but you could feel it's light slipping away when we were called to a meeting in the main place they called it a reaping.  everyone from district 13 gathered up and soon an army of white dressed men came marching in.  They didn't look mean just professional but a chill went down my back and i stepped closer to my dad who put his arm around me.  Soon president snow came in his hair looked like a dark brown but there was white spots, he had a white suit.
"welcome to the first ever reaping" snow began "do not be scared this is not an exact reaping but an information reaping i guess you could say, as you may now the capital is in charge and will forever be in charge so we needed a way to show the world and we found a way the hunger games and girl and boy from each district will compete to death in the hunger games only one can win you will put your name in as many times as how old you are this hunger games is for 12-18 please put them in before two days after today thank you" all of a sudden everyone panicked they didn't do anything but parents held to their children but i just staired at snow as he picked up a white rose growing in a near by plant.
