2015: The Geek Recalls

Wow, so this year was HUGE for geekdom! Seriously! I'm gonna take a tour around the fandoms and recap everything I remember!

Of course, Marvel came out with more movies, Ant-Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Of course, this should be expected, but Marvel also announced a new X-Men movie! It doesn't have Hugh Jackman in it, so I don't know how I feel about it, but I'm looking forward to it nevertheless!

It was also a huge year for Supernatural, as well! It was the start of Season 11, which showed a new villain, The Darkness, and the return of... ugh... Metatron... The mid-season finale, though, showed (SPOILER ALERT!!) Sam getting thrown back in the cage with an old enemy! I'm legitimately excited with how Sam's gonna get out! Who knows? It might show the return of the beloved character, Gabriel! We can only wait and see!

As for Doctor Who, we must mourn the loss of a beloved companion. I am sorry to say that Clara Oswald... is gone... *cries* On a happier note, though, a new Doctor Who movie, "The Husband of River Song," has been announced! Keep your fingers crossed, fellow Whovians!

For gamers, this year was pretty big! Of course, the FNaF series hit it big, but let's not forget Undertale, a game that I still need to play. Undertale made a big splash in the gaming community, receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews! Can't wait to start playing it!

For LOTR fans, a new book was posthumously published and released over in England! It's called The Tale Of Kuillermo, and it's supposedly one of Tolkien's darkest stories! The American release is scheduled for April, so I want it for my birthday!

By far the biggest event of 2015, though, was the release of the most recent Star Wars movie. The Force Awakens, it's the 7th installment in the Star Wars franchise. It's the sequel to Return of the Jedi, and I have to say, I loved it! We've got an entirely new cast of characters(BB-8, Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren) along with the return of old favorites! We must also mourn the loss(again) of by far my favorite character, the notable Han Solo... *sobs grossly* Hopefully he'll pull a Gandalf and return, but only time(and George Lucas) will tell!

Well, that was 2015 in a nutshell for the geek community! I can't wait for the New Year and what awaits us! May StarClan light your path, may the Force be with you, live long and prosper, carry on my wayward son and Happy New Year!!
