Going on 16 with the best birthday present ever

VERITY'S P.O.V.

        I woke up to my alarm blaring. As i looked over at it to shut it off i realized it was 7:30... wait! 7:30!?!?!? I thought i set it for 6:30!! As I lept out of bed and pulled on some skinny jeans and brushed my hair, I shoved on some hightops and pulled on a band t-shirt with Taylor Swift on it. Rushing to pack my school bag was not fun. Especially when your also trying to eat breakfast. As I burst into the classroom everyone stared. I looked around for my friends so that I could sit next to them, but there were no open seats next to them so instead I sat at the back of the class and covered my head.

        I didnt realize I was sitting next to the group of cute jocks. Ugh, I hate them.. except for Aaron (picture)... Wait what am I saying?! I mentally slapped myself. I heard something hit my desk so I looked up and saw a folded up piece of paper. The note said, "Hey cutie ;) meet me at the fountain after school" I looked around to see who it had come from but this person wasnt trying to be obvious...

So as the note asked me to I went to the fountain after school. As soon as I got there someone clamped a hand over my mouth and eyes. I heard the person whisper in my ear, "Don't worry, I wont hurt you" I couldnt decipher who it was. Soon the hands were removed from my face and I quickly turned around but instead of seeing who it was I was engulfed into a sweet hug. Once I broke away from the hug I saw that it was Aaron. I took a step back and almost fell over a rock, ,I took out my pocket knife to defend myself of rape or anything like that.

He looked at me innocently and put his hands up and jokingly said, "Don't kill me! I surrender! I would pull out a white flag, but I don't have one.." I lowered my knife and finally put it away. He smiled "sorry about that earlier, I just didnt want you to scream or anything.." "Its fine." I finally spoke. Aaron placed a little red box in my hand, "A little birdie told me that its your birthday today." "And who may that little birdie be?" I asked. He turned scarlet and looked away. I took a step towards him and put my hand on his shoulder and looked at his face, which was still scarlet. "Do you stalk me?" I questioned. "N-n-n-no..." Aaron stuttered. I smiled, he was cute when he stuttered.. i mentally slapped myself after thinking that. "O-o-pen the box..." he walks away as sooon as I open the box and see a beautiful necklace in it. "WAIT! Aaron! I need some help to put this on!" I recieved no answer. I looked once more at the necklace before putting it away but noticed that he wrote his number on the box. Smiling to myself I walked home alone.
