The eye incident

Charlie ran into the classroom panting. The teacher gave her a harsh look. "Late again Miss Leas?" Charlie gave her a soft apology and took her seat next to a girl with strawberry blonde hair. This was her best friend Cherry. "Cherry" Charlie whispered. "I have some news... It's about uh my Dad..." Cherry looked at her eyes wide. "What did he do now Charlie?" She whispered back. "I'll tell you later..." Cherry sighed sadly. The teacher had whistled at an ear splitting frequency. "Everyone open your books to page six hundred and sixty six!" Charlie did so and a weird feeling spread across her body.
Something was strange a sudden wave of nausea hit her and her hand shot up before she ran out. When she got to the hallway her eyes stung and small droplets of a dark liquid  hit the tiled floor. Charlie frowned. "This is new..." The voice came back. "Well.... My dear looks like you gotta go home... Your bleeding from your eyes..." Charlie shook her head. "I'm not going home!!" She yelled and the teacher came out. "Miss Leas! What are you yelling about?!" Charlie looked to the teacher and she gasped. "Oh my God Jamie we're getting you to the nurse!" She said putting her hands on her shoulders and steering Charlie to the nurse's office.
