Did I Die?
I open my eyes to see Jeff sitting in a chair next to the hospital table I am tied to! I ask “why haven't you killed me yet?” he responds with “Don’t sound so desperate! I am going to drive you insane first!” “that’s not going to be very easy!” I say as I slowly move my hand to my pants pocket and pull out a screw he sees me and takes my screw before I can do anything.He says “Hey! No trying to escape!” “who said I’m trying?” I say with a smirk! He looks me dead in the eyes then leaves the room. I make sure he is gone then let out a breath of relief and pull the screw out of my other pants pocket. I say ”I am so glad I'm always prepared!” I am able to free one of my hands before someone enters the room. I take in a breath of air as a cold hand covers my mouth.
I look up to see none other than Eyeless Jack who asks “how old are you?” All I do is point to my mouth and he moves his hand “I’m y/a. . .why?” I say as Jeff enters the room I ask him “can I have my weapons back now?” he says “no and how in the world did you manage to get your arm out?” I say nothing but I hold up the screw that I cut the rope with “dang you chose a talented kid Jeff” Eyeless Jack says as Jeff takes the screw and throws it to the pile of weapons I tried to use!
“Talented but a pain!” Jeff says “and I am going to keep trying until either I die or escape” I say back and hold up another screw. “See,” Jeff says. Then Eyeless Jack whispers something to Jeff who then puts a gas mask over my mouth and nose. I hold my breath. They both leave the room and I use my free hand to take the mask off. “Who does he think he is?”
I say as I take another screw and cut the rope on my chest and my other arm then I sit up and do the ones on my legs. I tuck the screw back into my pocket and get off the table grabbing my knife as I walk out of the room...end of chapter two
