Sapphire (How the Character is Involved in the Story)

Character's role in the novel: Main character

Relationships with other characters:
1. Sonic the Hedgehog: -- Disliked his cocky attitude from afar but when she got to know him, she fell in love with his couragous and fun loving self, ever since they broke up however, feels are conflicted, they both act through the love to try to maintain a strong friendship
2. Tails the Fox: -- Adores him. Both are delighted that they share their intrest in mechanics, though Sapphire's knowledge is no where near as advanced as Tails', he was like a little brother to her when she was dating Sonic, she barely sees him now, but they still maintain a close bond.
3. Amy Rose: -- While Amy hated Sapphire as she was taking away 'her Sonic' they made up over an escape and the adraniline of battle, while Sapphire absolutly loves Amy's enthusiasm, she won't lie and say Amy wares her out, Amy however sees Sapphire as a new friend to go shopping with
4. Shadow the Hedgehog: -- When they first met, it was obvious both distrusted the other instantly, yet the mutual understanding of loss and confliction drew them to a point of respect for the other, after Shadow marrying Maria, Sapphire's constant happy nature is both a pain and a refreshment for Shadow
5. Knuckles the Echidna: -- Since Knuckles has the social skills of a potato he was extremely awkward around Sapphire at first, unsyre of whether he could show himself around her, but her open nature and cheerful arua stoped this questioning almost instantly. The two are colleages, fight together in battle when need be but other than that, hardly speak.
6. Silver the Hedghog: -- They had a very similar relationship to Knuckles, until Silver found out the truth about their family. Silver quickly became very friendly towards Sapphire and she didn't complain and matches his niceness to her own earning them a very sweet bond. When Silver broke the news Sapphire was over joyed and hugged her new brother. They don't talk as much as they should, but they love each other dearly.
7. Domanic the Hedgehog: --Instantly she distrusted him due to him being the first face she saw when she was kidnapped while Domanic thought Sapphire as a new toy for him to mess with, thus the flirting and constant teasing, Sapphire soon became immune and Domanic opened up a little, it was his flirting that created a false sense of closeness to Sapphire that she didn't return. It was only after she had left did he realise how much of an impact she had had on him and how much he missed her. He loved her. They had met up once again after had broken up with Sonic, Domanic, both overjoyed and pained to see her with way took her in, one thing led to another and a loving relationship blossmed, while Sapphire thought it as a fun time fling, Domanic wanted her to stay, due to the opposing views on good and bad they of course had to break it off. They still see each other, DOmanic still flirts, the two pretend that nothing ever happened between them, even though it pains Domanic to the core.
8. Surge the Demonic Hedgehog: -- They met by an accident caused by Surge's cocky attitude and Domanic's loyalty to Eggman, leading both Freedom fighters and Surge to the underworld. Sapphire had foudn Surge hurt from the impact of the explosion and attempted to help him. Surge beng confused of her kindess tried to scare her off but she kept fighting him off to take better care of him. This led Surge to believe he owed her and fought by her side in order to protect her from his colleages. In this journey they both made it out alive and in the process Surge began to feel a strange sense of belonging with Sapphire while Sapphire fell in love with the demon. They ended up becoming a couple and Sapphire taught him about mortals. Surge dropped his role of a demon to be with Sapphire angering Hugo, his old friend and partner. This led to Sapphire 'owning' Surge's soul, making their bond more intimate. To this day they spend life together, even when death do them part.
9. Hugo the Demonic Hedgehog: -- Sees Sapphire as not a person but a reason for his partner to go rouge. Because of this a ongoing hate envelops him as he's tried to kill the couple many times. Though, some see it as jealousy as she took his only friend away. Sapphire however, while doesn't hate him, is terrorfied of what he can do to harm them.
10. Lili the Hedgehog: -- First met her she was giving birth to Lucifer with Hugo, not being able to say no she helped out and has a sense of respect for Lili, hoping she is what can keep Hugo distracted enough to keep away from their lives.
11. Lucifier the Half Demonic Hedgehog: -- Being son to Lili and Hugo, she has never met him apart from when he was just born as she was technically the midwife. Her mind hasn't crossed him since. Lucifier however knows of her presence due to Hugo constantly telling him the story of how he was betraid by a old friend to go with a 'needy rat'. Whist they haven't formally met, he wonders if it may be worth a visit to them, to see if they're as bad as they seem. Or to kill them. Eithers fine in his opinion.
12. Maria the Hedgehog: -- Maria and Sapphire clicked straight away when they first met, only to be told by their brother, Silver, that hey, you're sisters. Both were exstatic and decided to use the rest of their years to be together to make up for the loss of both their childhoods together. They're as close as two people can get. (Apart from with Surge as she physically owns his soul but you get what I mean :P)
13. Ruby the hedgehog: -- The daughter of Shadow and Maria, being her niece Sapphire can't help but love the little one, though they do rarely see eachother, apart from on family gatherings when Sapphire gets teary eyed to Ruby's expense.
14. Lilac the hedghog: Sapphire loves her daughter so much and is incrediably proud of her. Though, as she grew she became independent quickly which both relieved Sapphire and frightened her as she knew it wasn't long before she moved out. After the accident, Sapphire visits Lilac on her birthday every year, and comes home in tears as her baby can no longer remember her visits.
