I stare at Ida's door, waiting for Silencia to come out. She wasn't serious... was she?I hear a clicking the lock. The handle turns...
I hold my breath. Out comes a figure.
She has white hair, black fur and a tail.
This is not Silencia.
"A...Ara?" she says, looking at me.
"Ida!"
"What happened? Where's Silencia?"
I bite my lip. "She... She's gone."
"Gone? Where?"
"Listen, Ida..."
"Ara, where is she?" Ida is staring at me, worried.
I breathe in. "Ida, you were seriously ill. You were going to die. Silencia died to save your life."
"What?!" Ida backs away. "You're not serious!"
My face shows no expression.
"You... you are joking, right?!"
I shake my head. Ida looks at me.
"No... she's dead, Ida."
Ida turns away. There are tears in her eyes.
"You." she growls. She whips around. "How could you?!"
I jump. "What?!"
"How could you just... LET her do that?!"
"Well I couldn't let you die!"
"So you could afford to let Silencia die then?" her eyes flash angrily at me.
"No, Ida, that's not -"
"That's what happened!" Ida shouts. " You're going to regret this, Ara!" Suddenly, she turns and sprints down the hall and turns around the corner. From another room I hear the door slam.
Ida has left me.
