Chapter Two
Volestar had let Flamingwhisper sleep in, but at late dawn Tumblethorn woke him up. "Clan meeting" Tumblethorn informed him, he sleepily nodded. So he walked out, and ate breakfast quickly."All cats old enough to climb, please gather around for a clan meeting!" Volestar yowled, the cats gathered around the high rock, intent on their leader. "As you all know ever since Stonefeather left, and Amberleaf was killed, we've had no medicine cat" Volestar meowed, "we have a new one, she has trained in another clan, but will be a perfect fit". "Snowfeather come on out" Volestar ordered, right then a white she-cat padded out of the Leader's Den.
Her blue eyes sparked with excitement, smiling as she went by.
"As leader of Forest Clan, I make Snowfeather the new medicine cat" Volestar choked out the words, "to replace the honored Medicine cat Amberleaf, and the never forgotten Stonefeather". Cats shared the lost, and started to cry. Tears drenching their coats, their eyes red. Sniffles, and cheerful words were heard.
Snowfeather waited patiently, but looked ticked off. 'This medicine cat won't be a soft one, that's for sure' Flamingwhisper thought, as he looked at the jealous she-cat.
After the sad remorse, Snowfeather got settled in her new den. And now already collecting herbs, and moss.
Flamingwhisper sighed, he missed Stonefeather.
