Step-father
One night while carmen was sleeping she heard footsteps coming towards her and she was woken up and saw a tall dark figure standing in front of her. Carmen became scared but the figured kneeled down and patted her head telling her that everything was ok.Carmen tilted her head and looked at the figure seeing a man with red gentle hair, brown eyes, wearing a blue shirt with pants. He smiled at her "what you doing out her alone kiddo?" He asked. "I... Don't have a home..." She replied looking away and feeling ashamed. The man was shocked but then he smiled more and held his hand out "i could adopt you if you want" he offered.
Her eyes lit up and began to sparkle and she nodded excitedly "yes please!" She said hopeful making the man chuckle "my names Altair but since I'm adopting you it's dad" Altair smiled and carmen nodded. Altair picked carmen up and brought her home.
When they arrived at the house, Altair looked at carmen "all i ask is that you stay away from the madrigal family I don't trust them" he warned and carmen tilted her head wondering why. Carmen shook her head "afraid I'm gonna have to break that rule father, after all... I'm not your real daughter" she said with a smirk and skipped to her new room leaving altair shocked.
After weeks had passed, altair barely gave carmen any attention no matter how gard she tried and it made her feel unwanted. Carmen turned into a rat and snuck into casita and into the walls to see her best best friend Bruno. "Bruno...?" Carmen asked and he turned to her "ah carmen ^^ good to see you again" he smiled shyly.
Carmen smiled and hugged him "i... Found someone to take care of me as his daughter but... When i told him I wasn't gonna stay away from the madrigal family he started avoiding me as if i had done something wrong...." Carmen said and bruno hugged back comforting her. "Don't worry I'll always be here for you carmen and besides you like my nephew right?"he smirked and carmen squeaked but nodded shyly.
Bruno smiled "when and if you get with him and impress the family... I'm sure they'll treat you better" he said making carmen smile. "I'm...too scared to talk to him now tho..." She looked away and bruno shrugged "whenever you're ready carmen, I'll support you no matter what". He said and carmen tilted her head "you haven't been getting much sleep have you?" She asked and bruno slowly shook his head.
Carmen sighed and hugged bruno and they hang out for the rest of the day until carmen had to go home.
