What truly is terror?

My name is Josh Teeroar, that's Tee-Roar by the way, you'll understand why I said that later. Anyway...I am one of the many freedom fighters of Chicago. See what happened was, when me and my friends got here after a holiday only to find it was nearly completely taken over by some sort of robots. Not matter how much you put them down they just keep coming, they just teleport away and come back like a day later. The only way to stop them is to turn off the generators that power them. Think that's easy? Think again. Cars, missiles anything like that stops when you enter the "Darkness" nearly pitch black and nothing works right in there. Once you're in you're on your own...I came here with 3 friends and now I am on my own...
-Flashback-
We were in a airplane getting ready to jump.
"ALRIGHT SO YOU JUMP AND AIM FOR THE DOCKS OR THE WATER NEAR THEM!" The instructor told us. "KEEP YOUR CHUTES READY STAY CONTROLLED! ALRIGHT GO GO GO!" Me, Jackie, Sapphire and Ben all jumped out the plane one by one. I caught up to Jackie and flew next to her. I held her hand for a second, she nodded at me and I pushed her abit as she blew me a kiss and I spun and went faster down. I Went right past Ben "See ya sucker!" I flipped back to face him, as he was above me. "JOSH BEHIND YOU!" I turned and shock hit my face. I flipped faced down and moved off to the right just missing and building and pulling my chute. "HOLY SHIT!" I couldn't help but laugh.
"You're crazy JT!" Sapphire yelled at me, she had also pulled her chute. I looked around to find Jackie, she was coming down with her chute out.
I looked at sapphire again "I learned from the best!" I was referring to Jackie, I have done crazy stuff but nothing like Jackie and Sapphire.
"Dude you're insane!" Ben yelled at me, also having his chute out.
"I know I am, I know I am!" We finally landed on the docks. I took my chute off my back.
Jackie ran over and hugged me, followed by a slap to the face "You crazy son of bitch, what were you thinking!?" She hugged me again.
I hugged her back "I don't know anymore" I laughed. I looked over her shoulder and let go. There was two police officers coming our way.
"You kids need to get out of here...Now!" One of them said.
"What? We just got here" Ben walked up next to us.
"Look you need to go!" The other said. I looked over their shoulders, I saw two people running over but something was off. I saw they had some sort of metal head with a single red eye in the. "Guys...RUN!" I grabbed a hold of Jackie's hand and we all pegged it. The officers followed up behind us. They stopped and started shooting. We all kept running. We made it onto a road, I looked left and saw a car coming. I pushed Jackie out the way. The car turned and started flip over. It did and kept coming until it hit a truck...A fuel truck. I dived behind a wall and took cover. The truck blow up and a part of the building next to it started to fall down, it hit the ground and dust and glass went everywhere. I got out of my cover and looked around, after it was over. I couldn't see the guys. I heard something and just ran presuming they were all dead.

Now I hunt around and shut down the generators, I have succeeded shutting down two...Out of 25 and that's only in this part of Chicago. I have to hope my friends are alive, if not I'll have to keep fighting.
